Would this help or hurt kobe's legacy?
If the Lakers won the championship this year without Kobe

It definitely would not hurt it. It would help it or leave it neutral, if anything.

Without Kobe's brilliance the past 2 months, there wouldn't even be a playoff appearance much less a finals appearance. You gotta realize to win championships, you need a Kobe Bryant/Dwayne Wade/LeBron James/Magic Johnson type player.

Would the Lakers even make it to the playoffs if he didn't carry them for 80 games in the regular season?
It doesn't hurt his legacy at all

I care more about the Lakers getting the championship but Kobe would still have 6 rings. We would not be in the position we're currently in without him.
Klay Thompson's impact would be no different than the impact Jodie Meeks currently makes if not just a small amount higher and Jodie actually shot a better percentage than did Klay last year.

If the Lakers won the championship this year without Kobe... the we're dreaming.

I think it is more likely that I become a member of the Lakers next season.
Arguably the greatest franchise ever

if they won the big 3 spurs would have all had to go down. same goes for OKC big 3 along with MIA big 3. without them guys on their rosters is only way LA is winning a title without Kobe. With all that said it will never happen. Kobes legacy has been in tact for yrs regardless if he plays another game. We & kobe would just like for him to continue getting the icing on the cake for couple more yrs.
