I hate their announcer guy if you've ever seen the show before. He makes it completely intolerable.

It's true, I know so many people think about strictly how much money it would save us but can you imagine the blow-back from using the amnesty clause on Kobe?

It might actually cause some people to boycott the Lakers. Yes even if worse case scenario he's out for a lot of next season he's made the Lakers so much money and helped bring championships.

Then you can see how some that are diehard Laker fans first not care about a single player and want the team to be in position to win championships no matter who has to be sacrificed to get there. Yet, how much money would even be available to spend in FA if Kobe's contract was gone?

I know Pau still has a huge contract and Dwight will get his, so we'd probably still have to trade Pau and his contract away anyways to make a huge splash in FA this off-season. Then you gotta ask is there even any FA coming up worth the money that the cap space would be able to eat up?

Even at his high number, Kobe makes the Lakers money.. With the TWC deal alone the Lakers make money..
