Because we'd rather have the likes of Darius Morris, Chris Duhon, and Devin Ebanks over T-Mac, Quentin Richardson, Delonte West, and or CDR. That's how we roll.

I am certain Iverson could do more than Blake right now, not to mention Ebanks or Duhon. And to come back to the nba, he would accept less than the vet minimum, so to speak. Why not bring him in?

lol knew the second I saw he got signed  would see at least 3 threads on this [expletive]. He aint gonna do [expletive] in the playoffs. Guy hasnt had a good season sense 08-09 season yet he's so good right. Spurs are desperate and it wont help them at all.

Maybe he likes playing for a team that has a chance of winning a championship this year.  I doubt he is going to see much pt, perhaps 10m a game in relief for Parker or Ginobli

Certainly no more than a Darius Morris, Chris Duhon, or Devin Ebanks. You've got that right.

Oh yea prove me wrong. What has iverson, magrady done in the past 5 years that warrant them as elite players that can contribute in the nba. You cant.

But can you truly put Ebanks,Morris and Do Do in front of Iverson tho? Maybe you wasn't watching basketball back in the day when Iverson played in the league i dunno BUT "Look, when you got it, you got it" In my Stephen A. Smith voice.

Because we don't need another aging player.

Hate to break it to you guys, but these players are done.  There is a reason why they are out of the league and playing internationally.

Oh so you couldnt show me one stat one shred of light from either player that shows they are able to compete what do you know. And idc if he was great years ago. So were allot of players. Then they get older and suck. And not every player on our bench has to contribute. Your acting like we suppose to play 10-12 people in a game. We have blake, dwight, pau, meeks, clark, jamison, metta, soon to be hill. Thats 8 people. Hell we will probably get nash in about a week too. so thats nine. Iverson is not good enough to beat any of those players out. Theres nothing he has done in the past 5 years to show me that. Theres defiantly nothing recent to show me that.

Everyone complains about getting all these old guys yet they want iverson and magrady so bad. Both old guys who cant even make it in the nba anymore. Only reason magrady is on the spurs is cuz there so injured and even then its a dumb signing. He probably wont even play.

Why spend money on a guy so he will just ride the bench. Having him sit on the bench and mabey play 2 minutes isnt going to help the team much.

Does that mean that Darius Morris, Chris Duhon, & Devin Ebanks are all superior players to all these guys then?

They are practice player nothing else. You dont get a guy just to make your practice squad a little better. Unless the guy is going to beat out the actually playing time players whats the point.

When you're having a discussion about adding a particular player and the question is asked if he's better than Morris, Duhon or Ebanks, that's when the discussion needs to stop.

McGrady is a better player.  That's not saying much though if your comparing him to those three.  That's like me asking if Derek Fisher is a better defender than Steve Nash.  He is, but again that's not saying much.

I don't think Mitch Kupchak would of went through all that trouble in resigning Ebanks and keeping Morris just so they could be practice players....i was under the assumption that he wanted to keep them because they could be parts that would help the Lakers in the playoffs wouldn't you?

I'm not saying Mitch should sign Michael Jordan or Scottie pippen and bring them out of retirement, but it would be nice to do a quick signing of a scorer off the bench.Goudelock is fine and all but come on..
