So what are the chances Mychal Thompson's son will be a Laker like his father? And no, i didn't misspelled Mychal.  This kid is going to be an amazing player. He is already a great scorer. He got 2 years left on his rookie contract after this season. You think in two years or even one year the Lakers will try to get this guy? The only issue is he is not as strong and athletic as Kobe but this guy can score like a Kevin Durant and he is still growing and improving. What a pick up by GS.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

If Golden State is serious about winning now and for the future, they will do what they can to keep him imo. I would love to have him myself, although for the right price.

Klay could be part of the Lakers (ultra secret 2014 plan) who knows.

Ever sense I saw this kid play against the lakers in hi rookie season I wanted him. He has sooooooo much talent. Again this is why LA dominates. Teams like GS wil have to decide on either Steph or Thompson do to low budget.

But I would like to note he wont be a FA for a while. He has a team option in 2014 FA then a qualifying offer the next season. They will be willing to pay that salary. Though when he does become a FA GS better fork over at least 10 mil.

Warriors passed on James Harden in favor of Klay Thompson.

Chances aren't good.

And I think thats cuz they know they would have to pay him allot. I mean there paying him 3,4,6 the next 3 seasons. Thats for a quality young player. Harden 13,14,15,16 for the next 4 seasons. There already at 70 mill this year and 74 next. I highly doubt they can take the luxury tax for long like we can.

Klay would not come cheap.....he is a star in the making....Golden State is loaded for the future, if they play their cards right they will contend for many years to come.

I love Klay. I had him on my Fantasy squad so I know a lot about him.

If he were to leave the Warriors we'd definitely be his next target IMO. He must be a huge Lakers fan considering who his dad is.

He plays good defense. His older brother is without a team. One way Klay could end up on the lakers would be if he signed a one year deal as a RFA. Then took a chance of not getting hurt for a year and then went for the lakers. Or maybe a poison pill provision that would make GS reluctant to sign his offer sheet (ala the rockets).

Dont think he can coexist with Curry, anyways, i line-up that includes Irving, Thompson and Howard would be tight..

Don't forget that Kobe and Lebron will take the vet minimum.  Even with that roster MDA would still suck.

To compare his scoring skills to Durant is disrespectful, he's a very good shooter with good size...

LOL.  Imagine Kobe move to the 3 position, Lebron the 4 and howard 5. Then Irving and Thompson in the backcourt. If that to happen, I will give every member on this board 100 dollars. I promised.

By the time his rookie contract is up the Lakers won't have the money to take a run at him unless he throws away a lot of cash that will coming from Golden State.

I would hope that when he's up for unrestricted free agency, the Lakers ship would have already been righted and his services wouldn't be vital.

He's game is more similar to a Reggie Miller in this first years in the league. Mark Jackson feels the same way.
