Alright here is my gripe with Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley: You don't live by jumpers, you die by jumpers.

Me: Then how does the other team score Charles?

Charles Barkley:... listen.. let me tell you something.. Carmelo Anthony...let me tell you something Carmelo is the best pure scorer.. but it goes back...I was talking about Jason Terry and he.

Me: Why don't you just say basketball is a game of runs?  Makes more sense.

Charles Barkley: Let me tell you sumthin, I don't get paid to make sense, I get paid to say my opinion.

Me: Fair enough.

I hate the celtics, only if our team had half the heart they have collectively our 1st round defeat wouldn't be so damn embarrassing.

I didn't think Boston was as bad as they looked in the first 3 games. I think the Knicks will be fine though. They need to get back to playing dominant defense and force those long droughts again like the Celtics had in the first 3 games.

Injure Pierce and Garnett and they get swept too.

Lakers played with heart as have the Celtics.

Celtics also had half a year to play without Rondo.

Lakers had 3 games to play without Kobe.

Knicks in 7. I don't see Boston beating Heat but I can see Knicks doing it.

From his couch JR Smith watched his team lose to Boston on Sunday as the Celtics avoided being swept by the Knicks in the first round of the NBA playoffs. And although he was suspended for an elbow to Jason Terry’s chin, that didn’t stop him from throwing more blows through the media today when asked what would’ve happened if he were playing. Via ESPN

“Oh yeah, it would’ve been over,” Smith said after Tuesday’s practice. “I’d have been playing golf today.”

When asked about Jason Terry, Smith responded just like one would expect him to…

Asked about Terry on Tuesday, Smith said, “Who? I don’t even know who that is.”

Wednesday should be a good game as Smith has just given the Celtics, and the trash talk king of Honey Nut Cheerios Kevin Garnett a little bit of billboard material. I love a good verbal joust, but it probably would’ve served himself and his team better if J.R. would’ve kept that definitive comment to himself, but when you’re high school year book quote is “Get chicks or die trying” you can’t expect much of a filter.

After seeing them not be able to close out the celtics on their home floor last night I'm not so sure about that... good teams find a way to finish their opponent when they smell blood. Maybe if they do it in game 6 I'll change my mind.

Yeah I know, Knicks were stupid for talking all that "[expletive]". No good team actually does that besides when they do they actually back it up.

I just want Knicks to win because if they get hot and pass the ball around they can actually beat Heat. Also, they have Melo who does great against Lebron.

I really hate Heat.

If the Celtics come all the way back JR Smith getting himself suspended for game 4 will go down in history and he will wind up on an ESPN List one day.

A friend and me at work had this discussion, since Melo is the franchise player if they lose it's on him. I just think they are very overrated, sure JR Smith can catch fire but at times just doesn't affect a game at all. Their bigs are so fragile and not very offensive. Its like the Lakers, sure the names look good on paper and when they are making it, great, but when it is rough it is horrible.

I like it when the Celtics fans start to get into the game, then the Celtics commit a buzzkill moment on the next play.

This game is so ugly to watch

And the worse part is, that I am watching on espn online and they are only showing 2 commercials... For the entire game....
They just show this stupid dragon commercial over and over... And the first time, me and my buddy saw it, we were like, cool, a new spyro the dragon game!!! And at one point in the commercial, the dragon looks exactly like spyro the dragon...

Then it just keeps going, and the commercial is for some processor for a phone... Worst ad ever.. I blame game of thrones
