He was out for a few games, why wasn't the MRI done last week? Sometimes I feel like we have the worst training staff of the league.
Because MRI's aren't needed right away unless its serious or if there's cause for concern.
Whatever Nash has isn't healing properly so now they need to see if there's something more going on.

Oh my, whatever will we do without the former two-time MVP in our lineup?
I'm content with Blake as our starting PG. He tries to crash the boards, is a better defender than Nash, and he plays whatever role he's asked to play.
Blake is a better on ball defender than Nash but come on, he doesn't bring any serious rebounding value on a consistent basis and he lacks the ability to create his own shot, which Nash can do and which we seriously need with Kobe out, and isn't anywhere close to the passer that Nash is. Blake is a good spot up shooter and decent distributor. Nash is an elite distributor and elite scorer.
Blake has done a great job filling in but I can't believe people are actually saying they'd rather have him than Nash.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash underwent an MRI exam, which confirmed several preexisting issues related to his hip and back, which are causing nerve irritation and contributing to his hamstring pain and weakness. Nash received an epidural injection this morning, and will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the Houston Rockets. It is hopeful that he will be able to return to play in the next several days.

I'm fine with the other Steve. But it pains me to see Duhon and Morris

You guys sometimes think players are like robots, you dont know if Nash played there would be complications..
Not everyone is like Kobe who plays in pain, and dont forget Nash is 39 ...
It'll be great when nash comes back, means we can use blake at 2 for some time .. It increases our depth with the return of Hill ...

If everyone can play through pain, then Kobe wouldn't be special.

They should just fire D'Antoni and make Nash the coach. I think Steve's playing days are behind him, unless you want him to join the team midway through the season and play like 35 games other than that I think its safe to say hes done playing an 82 game season + playoffs. No wonder he didnt want to leave Phoenix the last few years their medical staff are geniuses

When you hear the word epidural it means there is nerve inflammation. It means you are talking about treating the nerve at it's originSPINE!
There r 2 things that primarily cause thigh pain. Either the problem stems from the structures there or the pain is referred from the spine.
Steve Nash won't play WED night. Getting an epidural for nerve inflammation is most troubling. When structural injury lead to nerve=concern

That is correct.

^ Los Angeles is known for having the better one. Players that have played in Phoenix and on the Lakers have said this
Thats not true at all.
Shaq was on his way out of the league....goes to the Suns. The training staff helps his career.
Grant Hill the same.
nash played more games in a lockout season than this season.
Suns have a better training staff. But you always have that homerism mindset.

Nash MRI result: "Several preexisting issues related to his hip/back, causing nerve irritation/contributing to his hamstring pain/weakness."
And in terms of lineups, I'm guessing the first lineup is Blake and Meeks and the bench one will be Morris and Goudelock and the 1s and the 2s interchanging depending on what happens.
I've always liked Steve Blake.

I knew even when he returned something was still wrong cuz his game dropped off too much to be due to just getting a yr older. Damn shame all injuries to squad.

Dr. Klapper was on 710 and said highly unlikely Nash will be available during playoffs. WELP
