Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni says no Steve Nash tonight v. San Antonio, but very possibly on Wednesday against Houston.

Doesn't answer the most important question.

Will he be back before Derek Rose?

Absolutely. Terrible decision to overpay a 39-year-old PG who is the worst defensive player ever.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

It's adorable how cautious MDA is and will be with Nash, but not at all with Kobe. I understand that Nash is injured, but I wish he would have some urgency to return (then again, I don't know what his thinking is).

Oh my, whatever will we do without the former two-time MVP in our lineup?

I'm content with Blake as our starting PG. He tries to crash the boards, is a better defender than Nash, and he plays whatever role he's asked to play.

With that said, do you think Nash should come off the bench and Blake should start?

I wish we could have just signed a perimeter defender in the offseason for cheap!!! this team would have been so much better

That said, I'm not going to pile on Nash, he's the best shooter on this team and when off ball is our most potent scorer in a wide open scenario we'd want.

He is also extremely frustrated at not being back yet and is doing everything in his power to return fast as possible(going for Wednesday)

Nash's only problem is not used to being a spot up shooter, rebounding and defense, things he's never been used for in his 17 year career.

So I'm not gonna pile on him now that he's down and act like he's useless to us. Anyone that does is an idiot. His value is very important if we're gonna succeed down the stretch.

That saidN Blake IS the better defender, off-ball player and rebounder than Nash. That's why he fits well as rhe backup and why I feel Nash should come off the bench till he's used to the role.

Wow, Nash is a puss.  Biggest games of the season, misses all of them.

I'm amazed how quickly you guys turned on Steve Nash. About 95% of this forum was ecstatic when he got him. Now apparently he's old, stupid, a bad pick up, a puss, and probably will be labeled injury prone.

TLN is a joke.

For what we gave up he is not producing nor playing enough to even out what we gave up... we practically gave up a LOTTERY PICK for a 39 year old PG that has a coach who runs him and everybody into the ground...

50/40/90 top 10 in NBA in 3 point shooting and our best shooter on the team.

Only thing he doesn't do is play defense and rebound which he hasn't done his entire career for the most part.

Don't downplay him he's very important to the teams success.

Other than Delonte West(who's mind is obviously in other places and basketball is the last thing on it). Name a really good point guard that was also a good wing defender that we could have afforded and that would produce more than Nash has for us this year.
