Ok then welcome back Mini Mamba...

I still dk if CDR was available.

But I guess with Goudelock it helps with what we'd need to do with Dwight BUT if CDR was available I'd be mad, if not then I understand why they got Goudelock. Goudelock may be Meeks beta but he's a more reliable 3 point shooter than him too unfortunately.. We'll see.

Again, would prefer CDR easily, or even wish they could bring both somehow, but I'm still excited about Glock. Hope he gets a legitimate shot at least.

Yes! He would surely help out the Lakers' defensive woes. It astounds me how there is absolutely no attention being paid to defense from all levels of this team, from the FO, coach, and players.

The Lakers can get better on offense, but the big issues with this team have and always have been defense. The fact that the Lakers are quick to make moves to shore up the offense makes me wonder if they actually value defense. Other than Dwight Howard, all the moves the Lakers made last offseason were for players who can't play any defense.

I think we went with Goudelock because we are basically going to go inside almost everytime and have Dwight take over. With Goudelock, he can apace the floor and stretch the defense.

Yeah, CDR's even a better defender too, lengthier/longer as well. He's pretty much got him in almost every category imo other than 3PT shooting probably, but what can you do. Still excited about the prospect of Glock possibly bringing a bit more than Jodie though. He's demonstrated he's capable before, now he just needs to do bring it out again on the big stage.

Mike D'Antoni is the coach.

So before Kobe got injured we didn't anybody and now we are rrying to find someone? Why? Why noe? Why don't we just use a 7 man rotation again?

All levels, including the FO. The moves made in the offseason were before D'Antoni was coach.

Pretty much what I was thinking.

In the Dwight Howard thread Real Deal pointed out we haven't enough shooters(consistently) to make it work running 4 out 1 in.

I'm guessing they signed Goudelock to remedy some of that.

But again was CDR available for off-season? We still don't know.

Love it. You obviously wanna' root for the guy cause he's a Laker, but even more because of his situation & circumstances.

All I know is the Lakers REALLY don't want to even consider putting Ebanks in to help fill Kobe's void. Its actually quite comical.

^ maybe he's REALLY sucking in practice.

Or maybe he's just not a better 2 than Meeks or a better 3 than Clark.

I think there's some behind the scene issues with Ebanks.

He got put in the dog house by Mike Brown too so it's not just D'Antoni.
