Where do we go from here...

I really doubt we can go anywhere past the first round in the playoffs without Kobe. Not to take anything away from Dwight and Gasol, but with this retard of a coach we currently have, I doubt we can do anything.

No point in tanking since we don't own any draft picks.

I can't believe D'Antoni actually said "Kobe's retiring soon, might as well use him as much as I can". Jeez.

Show up and play basketball. Kobe may be done for the year, but the Lakers aren't.

Get into the playoffs and ride Pau to #17, making me and many others eat crow in the process.

We will either roll over, say "that's the season." And quit..

Or we could play our hearts out like the man who lead us this far this season and take the rest of this season with a vengeance and prove every single doubter wrong and prove why Kobe epitomized Lakers basketball, it wasn't about free rides to the championship, it was battling through adversity in the best and worst of times and finding ways to win even when everyone else counts you out. We either live up to this and make our leader proud, or we prove all the doubters correct. Either way..someone's gonna be right, so let's make sure it ain't them.

We can lay down and let them roll over. Or we can look at each and every naysayer in the eye and say

"SCREW YOU YOU'RE WRONG!"

Our leader played his heart out to get us to the dance, well THIS IS THE DANCE. When the clock strikes twelve is up to us.

It's either gonna strike twelve with us going home with pumpkins that were once carriages.. Or it's gonna strike twelve in the middle of the castle while we hold that championship trophy aloft and make it OUR KINGDOM once again. It's what our leader would have wanted and it's up to everyone of them from the 1st man to the 14th to give that to him. For Kobe ya'll..

Same thing we were gonna do before. Try and get in the playoffs and probably not win a series.

This team's ceiling was low with Kobe. Without him it's lower, obviously. I just want the guys to play hard and leave it all out there for the remaining games, however many there may be. That's all we can really ask for.

1. Stop making silly threads.

2. Other people are going to have to rise up. We still have Nash, D12, and Pau.

I love how some people are like "Well what's the point?" Than don't watch the rest of our season jeez.

Well when you play a 34 year old player this many minutes something like this is bound to happen.

Unfortunately that 34 year old had a supporting cast around him as consistent as a lightswitch.

It's like Kobe said

"If they are hitting shots and playing well, I can lay back. If they aren't, I have to play. I'd rather the prior happen than the latter."

Yet the prior rarely happened at all.

It's unfortunate that all of Kobe's minutes becmae necessary.

When Kobe, Dwight and Pau have to score 90 of your 107 points.. Its time to look in the mirror of yourself as a player.

I blame them as much as anything else. Meeks got to the point where his "hustle" was talked about aside from his offensive game, and a 3 point night was "ok" as long as he hustled.

His inconsistencies are why Kobe had to play so much.

Ebanks being no good is why Kobe had to play so much.

Its on the players as well as the coach to make the job easier on Kobe, when neither become dependableKobe basically has to play those minutes or forfeit the season.

Its an unfortunate reality. But these players have to look themselves in the mirror we well, and take the blame with everyone else. Want to make it easier on Kobe? STOP no showing because you expect him to bail you out..oops..too late!
