Kobe did everything he could to keep this team in the playoffs, and now he probably won't be able to see it either way. Must be tough as hell.

Kobe was holding back tears that whole interview... wow .

That's all the hard work trying to get his body right each and every day, eating well and staying in a zone to help us try and make a run going to waste. People really don't understand how hard that is to do at his age.

You know the end of that video is so much strength.

He goes from breaking down, to taking it in stride and strong at the end.

That's Kobe. That's the strength.

Any fan deeling degected watching that video, watch the final minute, its everything we expect from Kobe.

He will be back, till then he'll be coach Kobe from the sidelines. Get well soon Kobe!!

this man's time just got shorter in the nba its just sad how some people can be so negative about kobe. No doubt will he go down as one of the greatest SG of all time. The NBA will never be the same for me again when Kobe retires. From Afro Kobe to the Black Mamba hope for a speedy recovery.

I love Kobe's response to that reporter at the end:

"It's appropriate that you ask that question from down there."
