I think Kobe came back too soon. 28 minutes and only 9 points and 9 turnovers? He's a dud on offense and a defensive liability at this point. What is worse is that he is using up PT that could be given to Henry who could have scored 25+ if given more minutes. While I'm generally fine letting Kobe work out the cobwebs, that needs to be done at practice, not game time. Every game counts toward a playoff berth.
I think he came back too soon.

The people who think Kobe came back too soon don't know any better than those who don't think he came back too soon. None of us knows exactly how his body feels since we aren't him or his doctor.
Even if he came back in 3 months and had even more training he could have still easily laid a goose egg for his first game. Working out and training to play in an NBA game is not the same as actually playing in NBA games. These guys are the top athletes in the world and are constantly staying in shape.
In my unprofessional opinion if he isn't feeling pain anywhere in his body and he's having no problem running up and down the court then he should play. The best way to get back into game shape is to play the game. Give it time, he's playing with and against people that have had training camp and 19 games of NBA basketball.
It could be months or it could be weeks, but playing is the absolutely best way to get anywhere near your old self back.
Dwight Howard is the best example of that last year after recovering from his injury the previous season. His first 3 months he was averaging 17.5, 16.5, and 13.9 points with 10.9, 12.7 and 11.9 boards. The last 3 months of the season he averaged 15.1, 17.9 & 20.9 points with 12.3, 15.2 and 10.5 boards a game. He played himself back into shape.
