@LakersReporter
It won't be this season, but Kobe will be back. He wouldn't even entertain a question that he'd hang it up after this injury.

RECOVERY TIME

This season is over. We need to forget about it.

KOBE WON'T BE BACK UNTIL THE ALL STAR BREAK OF 2014, AT THE VERY LEAST. 10 months.

I'm not even mad, just sad. It didn't hit me until I saw the tears in his eyes.

You REALLY want Chris Duhon in a SUPER important game like this?

Also Dr. Buss himself hired MDA. Yet Jim keeps getting blamed. I seriously question the intelligence of TLN sometimes.

any1 could have played for a couple mins while he attended to his injuries.

you only need to question what ive been saying all season it finally happened. he ran him into an injury. your not a hooper you dont know the game.

I suggest none of you look at the espn message boards now. Filled with hate and basically saying kobe deserved this I can't believe how cruel people can be.

Still don't know what D'antoni was thinking playing Kobe so much. You barely see the young players like KD and Westbrook play that much, so D'antoni thinks it'd be okay for Kobe. He said they needed him so that's why he plays so much, but if he had done his part in coaching better (overall) they wouldn't need him to be playing every minute

The whole team from top to bottom has failed to do their jobs this season. Looking at him on the sidelines should be a big fat reminder of this. Man he should be coasting into retirement. Not limping out. [expletive] the team man.

Anybody else start crying yet?

I'm not gonna cry because in the end this is just sports but I haven't felt this horrible in a long, long time. This is worse than '04 Finals and '08 Finals combined. It was tough to watch Kobe holding back tears. You could hear it in his voice.

^people are idiots. They hate the Lakers and Kobe that much.

Hopefully the Lakers own fanbase can support them as consistently as everyone else hates them.

One of the saddest days in my life so far, seeing one of my heroes tearing up, on crutches, emotionally and physically drained.

That was one hell of a painful post game interview to watch. I was yelling at my screen at Pringles to sub Kobe out, but in the back of my mind, you knew Kobe wasn't going to listen anyway. Man...I'm just hoping for a miracle at this point. Get well soon, Vino.

Kobe doesn't get helped off the court with soreness.

His stress level in his Achilles and basically every part of body is probably so high due to the minutes he has playing lately , that makes body easier to break down.

If it didn't happen this game it would of happend later.  Achilles don't just tear (unless you put huge strain on it) this injury happend long before this game.

Not sure he comes back from this.
