Here is a good pole question. Will MDA get fired before Kobe comes back?

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Considering that without Kobe, that offense will depend on Nash PG and D12, but primarily D12 and it has been well established that MDA cannot properly play D12. So with no Kobe, that team is going to struggle immensely. In some ways it works really to the Lakers advantage.

OT, but damn. I was too young to remember this, but for those that do, was it really that bad?

As a fan I just remember the immense relief of us winning, they were a great match against the Lakers. The Kings were the only threat to stopping us, everyone thought that was the championship series. It's just after how good game 7 was called, game 6 felt like the Lakers getting the benefit of being champions, besides game 6 was at staples.

Already back on the court, even if it is just doing free throws thats pretty crazy. This guy is something else.

How long had it been since surgery? 2 months?

I hope Kobe isn't pushing himself too hard.  Better to heal properly than to heal quickly.

I asked @kobebryant how long he'll play: "I feel pretty damn confident I can be at a high level for at least another three years."

Kobe is my fav player of all time but he is fooling himself if he thinks he can play at a high level for another 3 years.  Honestly Im not so sure I want Kobe for that long.  After this year LA needs a new makeup.  If Kobe can deal with being a role player for other emerging or current stars in their prime it would be lovely.  No way Kobe at 35 and up needs to running and gunning and the offense flowing directly through him.

november/december, i think that's too soon... id rather see him in february/march until they get into the playoffs... or better yet, sit out the 2013-2014 season..

what i'm afraid of is that kobe/lakers are doing a show to make Dwight believe that the lakers still have kobe. prevent Dwight from believing that they have a crappy team w/o kobe.

in reality kobe can't barely jump yet and doesn't even know if he'll be able to run at start of training camp.. but of course who wouldnt want to see kobe on the floor doing some work??

Do y'all think this is the eightied?

Surgery and RECOVERY is MUCh different.

Kobe isn't some 23 year Derrick Rose who'se our FUTURE.

And this ain't his first MAJOR MAJOR injury.

He knows what he can play with and what he can't

i think you're fooling yourself if you think Kobe can't return.

In fact tweet him that message

Kobe hasn't had an injury to this magnitude before. And why all the spaces between lines? You know the period separates the sentences.

Kobe had a major KNEE surgery , he missed games to start the season. That's Major.

that was an injury that severely hindered his game for most of the season.
