He looks like he's walking in a giant made-for-mamba recovery moon bounce.

Anxious to see him come back, this anti-gravity is indeed necessary, it keeps him in motion and doctors recommend it to be as early as possible which in Bryant's case is 6 weeks(the minimum) ..

Anti gravity treadmill just sounds awesome lol. The mamba is recovering as fast as possible its good to see him back on his feet again. No doubt in my mind he is gonna come back from this thing more motivated than ever. A bunch of my friends always like to dig into me and say you know kobe is done right? Gonna be great when he is back out there doing his thing. All I know is there is no way he will look worst than Dwade does now ahah

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

Kobe aims to play in opener

"I hope so," Bryant said in a sit-down interview with ESPNLosAngeles.com on Monday. "That's the challenge. With the tendon, there's really only but so much you can do. There's a certain amount of time that they deem necessary for the tendon to heal where you don't overstretch it and now you never get that spring back.

"So, you just have to be patient, let the tendon heal and then when that moment comes when they say, 'OK, we can take off the regulator so to speak and now it's on you to train as hard as you can to get back to where you want to be,' that's going to be a good day."

Yeah, this was his projected return about a month ago, they were saying it could be sooner on Time Warner Cable cause of the womens therapist they have there that has dealt with many tendon injuries in her career.

Dunno why some people started rumors or thoughts that he may not play the whole year or something X_X

Training camp, Kobe will start his first contact drills. It's going to be a reverse of Dwight. The expectations lower, so his 22 and 5 will be viewed as a feat in limited minutes.

If 6 months in the minimum, Kobe will be ready. He knows his body and I think from here on out he will be less stubborn.

They aren't rumors, the normal time frame for rehab of a torn Achilles in athletes is 9-12 months. But of course Kobe isn't your average athlete.

if im not wrong it was his right achilles that is gone which is his primary foot for pivot/fadeaways which is his go to move.. i am not convinced "yet" that a surgically repaired achilles tendon can be restored to what it used to be. exploding to the basket could be one of his fears as that move gave him the injury...

with the lesser spring on his right leg/foot and lesser confidence with his moves coupled with his age i think he'll only be 50-65% of what he was last season.. there's no doubt he'd still be playing but i think that's the MAX in my opinion...

It was his left

Regardless u do have a point... but I feel Kobe isn't the type to let fear impede him from his goals.

i stand corrected. it was his left foot..

i think what matters most is for his achilles tendon to fully heal, and gain back his confidence in making all those moves that he used to..

AND WHEN THAT TIME COMES.......

If Dominique Wilkins came back from it at 31, Kobe will BOUNCE back from it.

This is HOW many years later. People are recovering as fast as 6 months form this thing and we know what's the MAIN way to recover faster. Work HARDER.

They Won't let him BLOW it out and if you are looking at Billups as a reason to be concerned, consider this.

Billups start getting hurt his last year in Detroit, then Denver he was healthy for the first season but not after.

in Ny, Billups had brief moment, but was OFT injured, so he was waived and BAM, he ends up a Clipper.

Kobe has had injuries, but CB was tore DOWN.

Watch the bounce back by ASb, we will see mamba

Gary Vitti on Kobe's recovery

MT: Where is Bryant in terms of his rehabilitation? Do you think he can play in the season opener, as is his hope?

Vitti: We don’t know yet. Kobe looks exactly the way he’s supposed to look at this point in time. Kobe makes you look good as a training staff … we always feel good about how he’s going to recover from anything, and that’s a credit to him. He gets all of it. He’s the one that has to do it. He’s going to be great no matter whom he works with, and right now he’s working with the best, in my opinion, Judy Seto.
