I bet if we search "Kobe defying age" on this forum we'd get almost as many topic results as "Kobe vs MJ".

If you add all the minutes he endured during the playoffs and USA basketball that's about 3.2 seasons added.... 54,710 total minutes

People keep talking about his age and while that's impressive it's nothing compared to how much mileage he already has on his legs. There's literally no precedent for what Kobe has done this year in NBA history..

Very true, sad thing is not many people seem to appreicate what he is doing right now because quite frankly its ridiculous.

The sad part is some laker fans on here  thinks that Kobe only has 1 or 2 more good years in him.   How many more times do Kobe have to prove you idiots wrong?

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Kobe never said he only have 1 or 2 GOOD years left. He just saying he's not sure if he wants to play after his contract is over.  He know that he can play until he's 45.   I think he can have 4 more GOOD years.  Some already throw in the towel like two years ago saying Kobe's miles are too much and he won't be dunking anymore or scoring high anymore.

Im not saying his shot making ability is as good as during the shaq and kobe years but he is so much better than so many players in this league.  Plays with his miles should be averaging only 14 pts a game, coming off the bench or can't dunk or cross people over anymore.  When you watch him play, people think he is only been in the league for 4 years or something.  I dont even think Jordan can do what Kobe is doing and I know  alot of people love Jordan on here so I might get slam for saying Jordan suck at his later years.

There was an article in Men's Health magazine a couple years ago about this daily training.  He starts at 3:30am and has a three hour workout, of which an hour and 15m is stretching.  Stretching is key to maintaining injury free, keeping ligaments and tendons flexible.

Kobe's level of conditioning is amazing.

The effects of excess mileage don't show right now.

But I stand by my prediction that he'll have a tremendous drop-off in production after 2 more seasons, because of the excess wear-and-tear this season.  And if next season is anything like this one has been, then change my 2 to a 1, because that would be the end of Kobe-as-we-know-him.
