People need to stop always going for "he's tha answer" or jump to "we're better without jhim"

NO we aren't better without Nash.

We just don't need him as the starter if we MUST start Gasol with Howard.

Nash coming off the bench scoring 15 we'd need, possibly in during late game situations, yes is very much needed.

Wish people weren't so "start or bust!"

Despite statistics, Nash is needed to play along kobe .. Much better than seeing Kobe facilitates and loses his touches in scoring .. Which costs us the game against The beloved neighboors ..

He just gets beat on defense so much and it collapses our whole defense. I don't know if his offense makes up for his defense anymore.

^ nothing new about that, we knew he is a liability on defense .. But still even though kobe has the ball more, Nash is still vital and can make 3 points plus jumpers off the pnr ,,

there are 2 other pGS on roster that could have dribbled up the court & initiated the O. You gotta play them period.

Shows how many morons are on this board, Nash has been terrific this season. All this talk about him being a dissapointment is retarded. The man is still averaging 12 points, 8 assists, and over 50 percent from the field. His defense is subpar, but his offense has been very solid.

IMO I thought he would been better, like taking more pressure of for Kobe. His defense really hurts us because his man burns him constantly. It could be find if we had a defensive strategy but we got MDA

Nash would've been better running the triangle.

Not defensively, and that seems to be people's main gripe.

LOS ANGELES -- Will Metta World Peace's speedy return from knee surgery set the table for a couple of other Los Angeles Lakers players to follow suit as they recover from their own injuries?

    Maybe.

Steve Nash will travel with the Lakers for their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. A source close to Nash told ESPNLosAngeles.com that the point guard is eyeing a Friday return when the Lakers host the Golden State Warriors and characterized the chances of him playing against the Blazers as "slim."

Nash has recently switched to a new, stronger medication in hopes of alleviating the pain associated with the right hip injury that has been causing him hamstring problems and kept him out of all but two minutes of the Lakers' last five games.

I think D'Antoni might have to let Morris and Ebanks loose in this one, POR has the worst bench in the league, they average only 17 points game, 9 less than the 29th ranked team

Nash is still a good player to have and can fill a role that teams need, I think the biggest thing that happened with Nash is when he got here people expect him to run the offense amazing, to have the glorious pick and roll game with howard and pau, and pacing the game better for the lakers. That fell apart when MDA got here and say hey we are old but lets run and gun. On top of all of this the expectations that people put on Nash were just too lofty, this isnt the Nash of years ago, still a solid player but not the all star Nash he once was.

yet he cant run PG with starting core unless he is in Fisher role. This is the biggest problem. Due to having no outside catch & shoot players & having no bigs that can run PnR & hit the midrange jumper consistently.
