Anybody here watching this? Just premiered last night.

If you're a fan of the original movies, you'll probably be drawn to this more such as myself, but even if you've never seen any of the movies, it can & should still be very much interesting for the neutral observer.

Couldn't help but think there were some Dexter-like similarities in the first episode.

if it's gory, and has the same writing as the movies, i'd give it a shot

^ Yeah, as far as the goriness, it may sound a bit discouraging that it's on regular television NBC (limitations perhaps), but I saw the first half of the first episode through my DVR (haven't finished second yet) and it was better than expected. Showed some promise in that aspect.

^ Nah, but you should anyway. The movies are fantastic, especially "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Hannibal":

dude, do yourself a favor. watch the series first before the movies. It'll give you a different perspective. hopefully.

That dude gives out the Hannibal vibe. Great job by casting him. Finally downloaded the pilot episode. Time to watch it

I feel so bad. I totally lagged and missed a few episodes, then got discouraged and couldn't watch the rest. Will have to wait. Don't think I can see it online. I'm usually pretty picky about quality. I almost always want HD.

Okay. I gotta bump this. I just watched the first season in 2 days. Different take on Lecter but Mikkelsen still managed to nail it. I love how he relishes at the moment where he was feeding will and jack long pigs. I don't know you can still act how you try to conceal your elation at that moment. that was brilliant. Hannibal is [expletive]ing awesome.

Good thing it was renewed for a season 2 with 13 new episodes coming.

I still gotta' catch up on most of season 1 though.

Is it available on Netflix or coming eventually? Maybe Amazon Prime?

I thought the show was amazing.

I can really relate to Will, because I too have an over active imagination that allows me to be extremely empathetic to a fault. There's times where I feel too much and it makes me vulnerable to be taken advantaged up. Very good show.

The show is a trip. There's moments where I feel like I'm literally in Will Graham's mind, but then I have no idea of Hannibal's motives.
