NBA @NBA 4h

And for the first time ever, you can vote for the 2013 @Kia NBA Most Valuable Player by tweeting #KiaMVP and the player's first & last name!

Kobe Bryant #KiaMVP

He has a lot of votes!

Get the Black Mamba the MVP cause he's been carrying us through this roller coaster and has been looking better than ever!

I doubt it. Sounds too good & unfair to be true. Perhaps this will combine with other aspects of the grading/voting overall scale?

If the NBA account tweeted it I guess its serious. But so far Kobe is running away with all the votes Laker nation on Twitter is insane!

Letting the fans vote for MVP?!

Oh man, allowing the fans to vote for the All-Star game is bad enough.  This is a terrible mistake.

Fan voting will probably make up 1% of the overall vote.

^ That's what I'm thinking. This is probably just a way of trying to get the fans involved and making them feel more important/relevant when in reality, like you said, it probably won't even make close to a difference at all.

Itruly hope so.

I still think MVP voting should be done by the players and coaches of the league.  No player can vote for themselves or anyone on their team and the coach can't either.

If fan voting was 100% you're looking at jeremy lin as mvp with Yao a close second

So over seeing LeBron winning the MVP. Seriously, how the hell does Kobe only have 1 mvp in his career?

The fans as a collective whole get one vote. The rest of the process is the same as ever. Unless this were a ridiculously close race (which it isn't), that one vote won't make a bit of difference.

The NBA wants the fans to have a role in it but essentially one vote won't mean much.

It's LeBron's award. Not really up for debate.

Kobe would win this one he has more fan than lebron james over in the internet but I don't think NBA would rely on the twitter vote. Lebron James would be the MVP this season.
