I'm a little concerned about Kevin Love. He's been very injury-prone lately and even when he was healthy briefly this season, it was his worst season by far in a while. I would hope that he can eventually regain himself, perhaps a change of scenery might do that, but again, I'm just not 100% certain about him right now.

Durant probably, he's having one hell of a season statistically (50-40-90). But that's never going to happen.

I like Melo, but I'm not so confident in him being the main guy and taking you very far. Honestly think he should be a second option. Something like a Kobe (LeBron) & Melo (Wade).

Westbrook is a childhood Lakers fan, he will give 110% every night for this team. Though he would probably chuck us out of games too. I would want Lebron just so his Laker/Kobe-hater fans will go emo and jump off a building. Durant sounds like a great successor to Kobe, but he needs to work on his defense, don't want a "Nash" at SF. Irving would be my first choice to build around Dwight, love the confidence in his game, reminds me of the young arrogant Kobe.

That's a perfect reason to bait the Wolves into giving him to us.

But the future Lakers we should look for building is

In the order of availability

Re-signing Dwight

Get Love
Get Paul George
Get Kyrie Irving

And if Kobe is gonna play one more year in 2014, get Carmelo.

Kobe would know how to use him properly and find him and take the pressure off him. Kobe knows how to work with players like him.

But most importantly we should be going after Paul George.

Paul George is a guy we need badly for this team in our future. Building around him, Dwight and eventually Kyrie would be very helpful going forward.

So ultimately Paul George, Dwight Howard and Kyrie Irving as our core and building around that.

Love and Melo are long shots, possible, but long shots. Irving, George and Dwight... THAT is a post-Kobe squad.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Realistically, Kyle Lowry.

Long shots? Kevin Love or Russell Westbrook. Of course LBJ and Durant. CP3. Kyrie. Rondo.

Andre Igoudala

Tony Allen

Ryan Anderson

Paul Millsap

George Hill

If you don't like Lebron for personal reasons I can understand. He is the greatest player in the game at the moment by a margin so wide it is hard to believe. I also believe he will end up playing in la or ny after winning the championship very easily this season and next and is still improving.
