Thank the gods this is done. I know Drew has said he isn't going to worry about his contract and just let his agent handle it, but I know it was at the very least lingering in the back of his mind. It's kinda hard not to think about tens of millions of dollars...

Nice deal.

Bye-bye Odom next summer?

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

2 years ago that would've been funny, but saying it now is just cheesy.

I kind of thought they'd let him go restricted, but its good for it to be over so he can concentrate on playing.

Same here, but I definitely (Drew's word) like this, no complaints here.

Not totally ecstatic like everyone.
Woulda preferred if we waited till the end of the season
{We can match any offer}

Not a talent issue, but a health.

health aside ace i think this is a deal 4 the lakers cuz someone wouldve offered more years to the deal at the very least
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

That's a lot of money, but this is HUGE in keeping Bynum. Hopefully this will inspire him to work harder and hopefully he doesn't get injured.

Center D helps the perimeter D big time. Remember when we sould always have to fall on the defender driving? Then they'd kick it out for an open 3. This way, no one needs to fall, and Bynum can change his shot, or, they could try to pass it to a clogged lane.

Should Andrew fire his agent for being 'annoying' even though he got his client 60 million dollars in 4 years, which is superior to the 10 million a year the Lakers were low-balling?

Great move. At Market value. Drama diffused.

Only downside is once his final year is up, he'll be eligible for a no-trade clause and hold as much power as Kobe...that's bad for LAL...

All in all, I think it was the right move. He's relatively healthy, extremely talented and this gives Kobe even MORE incentive to stay PUT...
