Same here, but I definitely (Drew's word) like this, no complaints here.I kind of thought they'd let him go restricted, but its good for it to be over so he can concentrate on playing.

Only downside is once his final year is up, he'll be eligible for a no-trade clause and hold as much power as Kobe...that's bad for LAL...
All in all, I think it was the right move. He's relatively healthy, extremely talented and this gives Kobe even MORE incentive to stay PUT...
