You might also remember Crittenton as Gilbert Arenas gun toting partner, which lead to Arenas’ arrest and NBA suspension.

Just heard it on WB95.5 Atlanta

edit:

Report: Ex-NBA player Crittenton indicted on murder charges

Former NBA player Javaris Crittenton has been indicted on murder charges, according to WSBTV in Atlanta.

The indictment is in connection with the Aug. 19, 2011 fatal shooting of Julian Jones, a 22-year-old mother of four.

Atlanta police indicated that Jones was not the intended target, instead believing Crittenton was targeting a person who robbed him in April, 2011. Jones was shot in the leg and died during surgery.

Crittenton, 25, was a first-round pick of the Lakers in 2007 and also played for the Grizzliesand Wizards in three seasons. He's best known for a Wizards locker-room incident withGilbert Arenas in which both players brought loaded guns to the arena as part of a gambling dispute.

I would've never expected something like this especially from him. He & Dwight came together from good Christian places and suddenly somewhere along the way, apparently this guy just broke off dramatically & lost it.

I agree. He was one of my favorite players on the 2007 Laker squad and I knew he had real potential.

"over some jewelry..."? Does he not understand that he could buy a jewelry franchise with even a semi-successful NBA career?
