saw it just now on the sports ticker.
Spurs are done. HOPE WE PULL THEM IN ROUND 1!!!
The Spurs made it official on Monday afternoon announcing that Manu Ginobili will be out three to four weeks with a strained right hamstring. The NBA playoffs open on April 20 (exact date of a Spurs game obviously yet to be set) but that means he returns right around the start or a couple games into the playoffs.
The questions are this: Can the Spurs hold off the Thunder for the top seed in the West (their showdown Thursday will have a big say in this)? Second, does a team like the seven seed Rockets or the eight-seed Jazz/Lakers/Mavericks stand a chance against the Spurs, Manu or no? To the second question, I think the answer is no. The Spurs will be fine either way.
