Holy crap! That's got to be rough..feel for the dude

The injury happened in front of the Louisville bench, and the Cardinals were overcome with emotion.

Louisville forward Wayne Blackshear fell to the floor, crying, and Chane Behanan looked as if he was going to be sick on the court, kneeling on his hands and feet. Peyton Siva sat a few feet away, a hand covering his mouth.

Luke Hancock patted Ware’s chest as doctors worked on the sophomore and Russ Smith – who is from New York City like Ware – walked away, pulling his jersey over his eyes.

Someone finally pulled Behanan to his feet, but he doubled over and needed a few seconds to gather himself. As Ware was being loaded onto a stretcher, the Cardinals gathered at midcourt until coach Rick Pitino called them over, saying that Ware wanted to talk to them before he left.

The players on the Louisville team were reportedly vomiting on the bench. The Louisville team was in tears on the court. Coach Rick Pitino was as well. Ware, however, seemed to be the most calm member of the Louisville team. It was reported on the CBS broadcast that he told the team while laying on the floor, “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be OK. You guys go win this thing.”

thank god i'm not in a doctor/nurse, i'd probably vomit and then pass out after seeing that gnarly state. This injury made the Saw movie look like the Sesame Street.

the doctors and the students will receive an extraordinary injury to treat, not many surgeons see this kind of things even in a lifetime, not from basketball at least.

terrible, i feel sorry for the guy :(

That has to be one of the worst basketball injurys of all time. Snapped like a twig. Maybe his team can rally around it and win it all next game.

Yeah this is as bad as I've ever seen. Thiesman was bad and Sam Bowie was rough but this was the worst.

Good luck to the kid..

The bone went clean through his skin. Just awful. He could've done a fly-by like that a 1000 times and he wouldn't have gotten injured like that. Really makes you feel for the guy. Hope he comes back 100%.

Ive had a similar incident with my arm,  my bone ripped the skin and popped out.  You don't feel anything,  just shock.... you don't even cry.

Yeah, my friend had it happen to his leg when he was skating.

He didn't scream in pain, we all just stared on in disbelief, but man, that is just tragic for this fella.
