I came across this video interview with Kareem. It is funny how he had to say he was one to break the Lakers' 33-game winning streak. Who knew?!?!? (Vic the Brick's voice.)

Why would he care? He didn't play for the 72 Lakers.

The Lakers beat every team at least once on their way to 33 straight...Jabbar and the Bucks ended the streak. I cannot understand why any Laker fan would not want the win steak to be forever a Laker record. Miami won 27 in a row, 6 short of the record, 6 more wins is a lot, it just shows how hard it will be to ever break the record.

agree with that 27 in itself is impressive wether people want to admit it or not. I cant see any team in the near future even getting close to 20 wins

The '72 Lakers streak was snapped by another all-time great team in the Bucks. The Heat's 27 streak was snapped by an undermanned Bulls team.

Miami was worn out, to win that many games in a row takes a lot of stamina both mental and physical. The undemaned Bulls team played as if it was a game 7 in the finals. That's what makes the Lakers 33 in a row so impressive, you become the hunted, it makes a team season to beat Goliath.
