Of course coach d ran his starters into injuries smfh. Play god damn players on roster. This is what happens when wheel chair pride takes over and you waste talent on bench.

You cannot blame dthe coach for Kobe's playing time or "old players."  First, we have no idea of the chemistry between the coach and Kobe and whether Kobe would have a hissy fit if his pt goes down to 20m, which is where it should be.  As far as the old players go, well, better talk to Mitch Kupchak who signed and re-signed these geezers.

Injuries are a part of the game, and what makes a great as opposed to a good team is having a bench which (1) Can play meaningful minutes to rest your super-stars; and (2) Can start when a player is injured.

The Laker's roster is top heavy and thus has no quality bench players, which (1) Forces  the older starters into more minutes than their bodies can take; and (2) Makes using bench players in starting positions impractical, because they aren't good and don't have the developmental playing time to have improved their skills.

Yep you got a our bench 2(our relief for Kobe) starting ... How's he doing?

Thats why Kobe plays so many darn minutes, because Meeks is inconsistent.

Ebanks can't be the 2 and Clark is on one dead leg so D'antoni is cutting his minutes cause he needs him in the playoffs.

If you want Kobe to play less minutes then tell Meeks to play better and not have to take 17 shots to get 15 points.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter30m
Kobe Bryant received treatment on his foot and ankle today; his status for tomorrow is "probable."

Why tank? There's not a first round draft pick for years.
