John Wall Says he’s the Fastest Player in the NBA

according to Sports Illustrated, after his team suffered a 103-80 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Wizards guard told the Washington Post that he believes he’s the fastest player in the league, even Russell Westbrook.

“I think we are both young, athletic, fast point guards,” Wall said. “That’s very rare that you see that in this league. I’m trying to take the same steps that he took to become an all-star. I give a lot of credit to how he is working and how is helping his team win.”

“No, I’m going to say myself….There’s a couple fast guys in this league. He’s up there, Derrick [Rose] is up there, when he’s healthy. Mike Conley’s pretty quick. It’s different guys. Ty Lawson’s quick. So there’s a lot of guys, but I put myself first. Just for fun.”

Do you agree?

Fastest = Quickness+Speed+Explosiveness

Using that formula my list would be:

1. Rose (if healthy)

2. Monta Ellis, dude is supa quick

3A. Brandon Jennings

3B. Russell Westbrook

4. Rondo (again when healthy)

5. Avery Bradley

6. Kyle Irving

7. Jeremy Lin

8. John Wall

9. Toss up between Tony Parker, Ty Lawson, Jose Berea, Rudy Fernandez, Mike Conley

10. Pau Gasol with the injury boot.

edit: Wade gets a mention. Hes still quick. And hes a SG. So thats fasty.

crap. Over sight. I thought of him and for some reason started thinking or Durants quickness for his height and got side tracked. Ill add him where I believe he should be which is above Rondo imo, but not as fast as B Jenn. But hes got a quicker 1st step than BJenn. So I gotta use letters at the 3 position....lol. I swear I thought of him. Lots a PG's...lol

lol. Ask me my fav guard above even when Nash was on PHX I'd say Nash. but 38 is 38. Hes not the speedster he was but he makes up for it with brilliant shooting and still the best court vision in the NBA.

Isn't that like, cheetah fast already? Haha

I feel next year, John Wall is gonna take the next step to superstardom. It looks like the pro game is finally slowing down for him, and with a dude as blazing fast/quick (two very different things, but he has both) as well as finally understanding it's not always about going full steam ahead, it definitely spells trouble for opposing teams.

He's got a legit argument, but I think LBJ is the fastest.
