Because in the playoffs you would think they would actually give a [expletive] every second out on the floor, unlike tonight. Because if they do, I guarantee you they can and will stay with the spurs or thunder.

I don't think all of the Lakers problems are effort, though. This team has serious flaws playing defense and taking care of the ball. That's not effort. We don't play smart on either end. Yeah the Lakers might show a little more hustle in the playoffs, but that's not going to all of a sudden make our team capable of stopping plays that they haven't been able to stop since November.

Anyone who thinks we'll go any further than 4-5 games with the Spurs or OKC needs their head examined.  The first round will be embarrassing to watch.

you're delusional.

I'm not the one who has wrongly predicted numerous outcome of games. They were probably just like "well, we have a 1 game lead so it doesn't really matter if we win tonight or not since we won last night." If they had of given two [expletive] they would have won. Your delusional if you don't see that. And I didn't say they would beat the spurs or thunder I said they would stay with them. If they do that they have a great chance to extend the series to possibly 7 games

At this point i don't think it's a matter of the Lakers not playing defense.  I simply don't think they can.  They're just not capable.

If we had of won tonight you wouldn't have posted of this. We were playing a back to back where we are 0-14 on the season on the second game of a back to back. It's not surprising we lost. In the playoffs there are no back to backs

First word out of D'Antoni's mouth after John Ireland asked him what happened tonight? NOT defense. Just talking about turnovers, aka not taking care of the basketball, aka garbage on the offensive end.

There is no reason for a team with Dwight Howard as the anchor to have this bad of a defense. Dude played with some sorry defenders in Orlando and those teams were still in the top 10 every year. We just have a clueless coach who doesn't know how to make a system on defense around Howard. We still can't do a basic defensive rotation, and it's almost April.

9 games left in the season. Can't come any sooner.

How do you guys think they'll fare in these final 9? I say they go 5-4.

In Orlando, their coach at least talked about defense.

With MDA, it's shoot threes, or shoot more threes, lol.

7-2 if they have the right attitude

Yup.

I know this sounds outlandish, but I'm seriously so sure that most of this team's problems are MDA. We play fast against teams we should slow down against. We shoot threes against teams we should pound inside.

I mean, it really can't be coincidence that every team MDA left got better, can it?
