So I saw a tweet of his, talking about how Ron Artest was the most reliable player on our roster.

It was obvious that this was just another shot at Kobe, and him wanting a reaction, so I finally gave him one.

Enjoy.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

Most reliable isn't shooting 40.5% and attempting the SECOND MOST shots on the team, while getting roasted by all-star SF's, @KDonhoops.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

But given the garbage you spew about Kobe, just to rake in hits on your articles, I expect nothing less, @KDonhoops. I know how it works.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

@KDonhoops Nice touch, noting that you're an "entertainer" before anything else in your Twitter info. Can't be any more accurate than that.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

There's no face I hate more than that of a sports "analyst" that writes garbage not even they believe, just to gain hits on their articles.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

@KDonhoops Nothing more satisfying than hitting a nerve. Nobody knows that better than you, I'm sure...but thanks for returning the favor.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

Kelly Dwyer replied. I would out-write him any day of the week. Unfortunately, some people get pushed into careers they don't deserve.

Brandon Neal ‏@brandon_neal

Difference is, I've covered ball for 8 years to share knowledge. Dwyer has solely for the money. Entertainer, personality, but not a writer.

He proceeded to block me after that fourth tweet, and he replied with this:

Kelly Dwyer ‏@KDonhoops

@brandon_neal "Entertainer/Personality," and also Kobe couldn't guard you.

https://twitter.com/...988917922557953

This would have been a great day to go back and forth with him, because I've been wanting to get his attention for a long time now...but he only wanted a sip.

The quality of basketball writers out there nowadays has become so terribly diluted, there's only a handful I even respect and whose articles I bother to read to gain any real knowledge. Most of the members on this board could probably do a 10x better job, yet I find it funny most of that analysis is out here for free (on the forums or blogs) while people like this get paid to spew out absolute crap. Mark Cuban did a good job pointing that out when he embarrassed Skip live on ESPN, actually.

His Pau fandom is almost as annoying as his Kobe hating. I haven't read something he wrote in awhile, but I remember him sticking up for Pau after he was already stinking it up.

How dare someone block somebody who is giving them a hard time or making them look bad?

That's kind of like getting in the last word just before locking a thread.

He replied to another tweet of mine, about me out-writing him.

Kelly Dwyer ‏@KDonhoops

@brandon_neal Start your own site, like I did 15 years ago. Out-write me. Send me the links to your work at <kdonhoops at yahoo dot com>

Haha. As competitive as I am...I want to, but I'm not sure if I should bother with that, because I'm almost 100% sure of the ending...especially when he tells me Kobe can't guard me.

I say go for it. It's definitely worth the risk. I mean as much as you may dislike the guy (rightfully so) and as much as he might be trying to play you, at the end of the day, he's got the connections and you never know. You don't have a lot to lose here imo.

yo.

Make your own website, start your own youtube page, show the world what a real "analyst" looks like so people stop referring to 'coach nick' as a legend -_-

Go for it RD. If you have enough time in your life and if it's something that 'll make you happy. Give Coach Nick what and this bastard what they deserve :D
