Metta World Peace's left knee is STRAINED, not sprained. A strain occurs from injury to muscle or tendon, not ligaments.

Strained not sprained.

Oh great another excuse for our fans to hide behind. Face it, injuries or not, we are a BAD team just because we dont give the effort night in and night out. Are watching tonights game? Howard is like a ghost out there agains a soft Gsw frontcourt.

David Lee with the most 20-10s in the league

Bogut, who at his best may be a BETTER defender than DWIGHT in the INTERIOR

Landry-the Laker killer

How are they soift?

This is the Warriors of the past, they ere too good to get swept.

We actually ran a good lineup in the 4th without Gasol that worked pretty well. I hope that was sign enough.

I'd rather not depend on Emo 3Klanks

Taht does not change the fact that they are softer pyhsically. İt is not just about Dwight, we should've kept attacking the rim when Bogut was out and also when he was in because he was in foul trouble. Is Lee togh enough to stop attacks at rim or Dwight one-on-one? Don't think so. Instead of attacking the paint, Kobe had to jack up 67 ft shots and Meeks had to do what he saw Kobe doing.

Dwight's offensive game looked so awful, so flawed tonight. And on the defensive end he show no effort, Lee scored over him at ease.

Oh I dunno... He was stuck at the 4 for what 2 minutes? And went 2-3 and got 7 points before halftime?

How did the guy that started at the 4 do in comparison?

The entire game to get 7 points?

With as much as he's contributed this season I find it ironic that a majority of fans that say Metta does nothing and should be amnestied(despite putting up career averages and improvements) are the ones that say to keep giving Gasol chances :)

Dunno if you're one of them.. I just find it funny those that do.

Ya'll are idiots if you say Metta getting injured is good news.

He other than Jotdan Hill has been the Lakers best power forward this year and most consistent player not named Nash or Kobe.

Maybe a few games with 3Klanks will makr ya'll feel as stupid as you sound.

You're a disgrace to Laker fans if you think any of our players, let alone one that produced throughout the season getting injured is good news. And the fanbase would be better without you.

You know, I seen people always say how classy Lakers fans are cause they don't make petty immature stupid comments towards other teams...that's cause they save all that bullcrap for their own team instead and it makes me sick.

MWP getting injured isn't good news.  He may not be a good player, but he is OUR bad player.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter one way or another, the Lakers have played the bulk of the season at this point, some at a way below .500 clip, and some at a way above .500 clip, it has all evened out and what you see is what you get.  A team with about 10 games left that is sitting at right around .500, not the team that was envisioned.  Every excuse has been given, and passed.  Dwight isn't 100%, Nash is injured, Blake is injured, the core 4 have only played 20 games together (and lost a vast majority of them), Pau is injured, Hill is injured, Kobe sprains an ankle, the coach doesn't know how to use the personnel, MWP is injured.  You can make a laundry list of excuses for this team.  Fact of the matter, they are a mediocre to bad team, mediocre to bad teams go on winning streaks and they also lose games inexplicably in bunches, just like the Lakers.  They are a team with a bunch of great names on the back of their jerseys, and the greatest name on the front of their jerseys that unfortunately didn't work out the way it was supposed to.  MWP getting injured is just another excuse to throw out there for why this team has underperformed other than a few weeks of the entire 70 game season they have played thus far.
