Spurs.

We match up very well with them and we don't face the worry of going against a uptempo team right off the bat which saves our legs if we advance.

Tony Parker would eat us alive. All of these teams have a point guard that will kill us all series. Really wish we took care of point guard defense in the off season.

Name one we could afford.

Can't find one?

Alright find the best point guard available that we could afford. Steve Nash you say?

And that's why you're not a GM :)

Let's just be honest ya'll never wanted a defensive point guard. When fisher was here you wanted a younger point guard and one that could play pick and roll, u got sessions and said he was too young and inexperienced, you got steve nash the best pick and roll point guard in the game and most accurate shooter in nba history and you were foaming at the mouth, now he isn't a good defender(which he's never been) and suddenly its "oh I wish we got a defensive pg in the off-season except steve nash"

Yeah right.

[expletive] it. OKC. Why? Because we will have to go through them eventually. Better to go at them when we are fresh.

Give me the Spurs any day of the week.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

We couldn't afford Nash, but we got him anyways. It's not like Nash is playing for nothing. I'm not saying Nash wasn't the best option, I'm just saying I wish we could have taken care of our biggest problem for the past several years.

Never offered a solution, because I'm not sure there is one. Don't know why you go after everyone with these comments, calm down a bit.

I'd rather face Oklahoma City than Denver.

Spurs then the rest and OKC and Denver must be avoided especially Denver, we turn the ball over several times and denver nuggets will take advantage of that cause that's their forte

You don't know that...

I think they're the best of the west and will make it to the Finals once again... but hey! if the Spurs or the Clippers play them in the second round, put up a fight and eventually win... that works for me!

better we face them when we are partially edible rather than completely stale

I see it as a win win. Say we lose to OKC. At least we lost to the best in the west. No shame in losing. If we win.....imagine the confidence boost we would get and the fear we would strike in other teams? Winning the first round vs OKC could indirectly send us the Finals. Just a fantasy, but I do see a much bigger upside to playing OKC than the Spurs.

Edit: According to the standings, we would face Spurs, Clippers/Memphis and finally OKC if things go according to plan. Again, better to face them early rather than later on tired legs.

Clips, Grizzlies, Nuggets.

OKC and the Spurs would have us for lunch.

The idea that Nash or Kobe would guard Westbrook, and MWP Durant is laughable.

Tony Parker would likewise have us for lunch.

We can't even beat the Phoenix Suns... Just sayin'... I don't know what hurts more, seeing them not make the playoffs or get a sense of false hope when they do make it only to be swept out of the first round (regardless of who the opponent is).

I like the attitude, but yeah its a 2nd round at best !! And to be honest, i think its an accomplishment of the season if we ever pass the Spurs or Oklahoma ..

Back to reality, we aint a playoff team yet .. so i dont see how this thread is meaningful now ..

This idiotic post is laughable. Kobe guards the opposing best player all the time and does so effectively.
