I always use KCAL with Stu and Joel, but you gotta love the TNT halftime/postgame report on TNT with Kenny, EJ, and Chuck.

I normally watch local channels but I'd rather watch it in HD on ESPN than KCAL's crappy quality. Also, games on ESPN and TNT always seem more dramatic for some reason and that makes them a lot funner.

Local only when it's a home game on FSN West. I don't get KCAL so I can't watch away games.

ESPN games are actually pretty well announced (well, at least this one), and the quality is always better so I choose ESPN. Plus, after watching Stu and Joel for a while you might need a change of pace from their usual announcing jokes/style, you know?

Whenever a National Game is on
90% of the time I'm gonna watch it there.
Mostly because we get the better commentators (Hubie-Mike, Van Gundy and Crew, Etc.)

But local channel is cool

In my opinion, I think Hubie Brown is a horrible commentator. No offense to him.

There's only so much of ESPN you can really stand. To me, just watching it on a local station feels better because you know you're not going to hear any of this, "Lakers win by 38 points....but..uhh...OH BARON DAVIS WAS HAVING A BAD DAY THAT'S WHY THEY WON." kind of garbage.

Today I watched ESPN simply because KCAL was delayed by about 4-5 seconds, it seemed. I wanted it as live as possible.

Usually local, though, unless it's TNT.

Yeah TNT is priceless stuff when it comes to Inside the NBA, even though Chuck talks out both sides of his a$$.

it goes

TNT- if the game is on TNT i'm watching it no question. unbiased play-by-play guys and unbelievable HD with just as great halftime shows

FSN- Stu and Joel of course and very good HD to be honest and of course they are laker homers but not to the point of annoying i mean stu is about as smart a color analyst as any out there

ESPN- hate the bias of jon barry and tim legler but if its jeff, mike, and jackson i will watch my only issue is their HD is weak for such a big time station.

KCAL- absolutely horrible HD, sleep inducing halftime shows (sorry jim and james but damn you guys are dull literally 2 seconds of commentary then commercial and the commentary is not even good)

thats my pecking order

It depends, but usually the local channels moreso for the fact that the HD quality just comes out better for me than ESPN's, by a little bit, but it's enough to make the difference.

I also like watching on ESPN as well sometimes just to hear how the commentators call the game and what they have to say about our team, mostly enjoy Hubie Brown's insight, Mike Tirico's not bad (although very creepy, see vanessa hudgens incident) and Mark Jackson.

..also though.. what's cool is they normally always replay the games later on espn again at night or whatever. so if i missed it there and saw it on the local channel, i can just record it or watch it again there on their replay.

KCAL- absolutely horrible HD

Hmm.. that's funny, KCAL's HD comes out the BEST for me out of all the selections.

oh yeah.. and i just absolutely love TNT's coverage, that'd always be my #1 choice.. love hearing Kevin Harlan do Laker games.. if there was anyone I'd pick to replace Joel, it'd be him.. he makes it soo soo exciting.. especially his classic calls on Kobe..

^ Lol popo, yeah.. i would've mentioned Bill, but it's just that he HARDLY comes on anymore unfortunately.. perhaps the bad back STILL somewhat? who knows? luke does.. oh well..
