The stretch from 1:47 left in the third to 8:50 left in the 4th was when Pau was reinserted into the lineup. The Lakers were up 72-63 when he checked in, and were down 81-79 when he went out. So in five minutes, the Wizards went on an 18-7 run with Pau Gasol "anchoring" the paint.

Now I remember why I didn't miss this guy.

its the main reason for u? smh

The Lakers. Where opponent career highs Happens.

It seems like every game someone gets a career high in something against us. Ariza 7threes. Wall 16 assists.

Would've been nice to have that wasted timeout at the end of the third. Also, ball movement the final 8 possessions.

The Lakers are the exact opposite of the Miami Heat, lol.

Have the lead in the first half, but squander it at the second.

Kobe's stubborness to lead in the 4th took us out of the game.  There was no ball movement. And thanks for leaving Ariza wide open. I won't give Kobe a pass for the injury, he could have sit this game out.

Do you think Kobe is aware that he had teammates in the 4th. Also, he was defending Ariza. I'd hang this loss squarely on him.

At this point I just want them to make it so we don't lose the lottery pick.

We are not a "scary" 8th seed. We suck. We have the worst coach in the league and one of the worst defenses in the league. The Spurs or Thunder are NOT scared of us.

Seriously who cares about the draft pick. They wouldn't pick anyone good anyway. Let the Suns have it, if missing the playoffs means  they get rid of the stupid mother [expletive]  D' Antoni

but I guess knowing this front office they'll keep this loser no matter what and say some bs about an off season with him

It's Pau's fault he has to take so many 3's. LMAO. Get's offensive fouls when attacking basket.

I don't get it either. Gasol was part of the problem tonight, but he has been out for a long time. When the game really mattered and we needed baskets only two players stepped up to the plate. MWP and Kobe. Now, Kobe had good looks and missed. He forgot to pass in one possession, but its hard to stay angry at him. MWP though......what a travesty of a Laker player.

its the main reason for u? smh

I watched our defensive possessions very carefully in the second half, comparing how players drove in with Dwight in vs. out of the game, how rotations and help D was, etc. And I can stay with strong conviction that it was a huge reason. Wall and Ariza started going nuts in the paint and consequently from the outside as well, and with bad help defense from Pau nobody had time to close out on the shooters, it was just a total mess and the momentum swung the wrong way.

Pau coming of the bench seems like it's the correct thing to do, why doesn't he?
