Just got on, seen that the last post was like at 2:30 something PM, how could that be? What was the issue with the site for that long?

Likely one of three things:

1) Admins were doing server work

2) There was too high of a server-load on the network

3) The host had unexpected downtime on the network

Nice to be back up though.

The host went down and all the sites that come with it were down.

Sorry guys, I was at the OKC/Denver game, and since it was a three-hour drive, I was basically gone all day.

Assuming the site did pop back up on its own, then yes, it was likely an issue with the server.

Have you ever considered upgrading this site to VBulletin? In my opinion, it is better functionable and it has a variety of modifications available.

Never, ever had a problem with IP.Board.  Designing vBulletin is more complicated because of the way it's coded, doesn't give you the flexibility when it comes to that.  I have full access to every bit of code, just one click away...and with how I code (from scratch, using Notepad), it's perfect.

Probably has more modifications, but I don't want to put a load on the server, either...especially during games and in the off-season (if a big trade were to go down).  That's usually when other team-based sites go down.

The server issues are not related to IP.Board.  There are minor database issues here and there, but not very often at all, and most go unnoticed by everyone but me.

Before I put up my own site in 2005 (and this one in 2008), I had moderator privileges for two other sites...one vBulletin, one phpBB.  Both had a lot of crashes...and I understand that there are more factors than just the board itself, but very little of those were server issues, and more had to do with modifications not being kept up with the board versions OR updated skin templates.

Then, before I put up my site, I installed all three as test boards...tossed phpBB aside immediately (because it's terribly basic...not sure how else to describe it), and it only took me about 24 hours to make my decision.
