Dwight Howard has parted ways with his longtime business manager Kevin Samples.

Howard and Samples are first cousins and had been working together for nine years.

"We had nine great years together," Howard told the Orange County Register. "Just time to go separate ways."

Samples moved to Los Angeles along with Howard this offseason.

Howard is confident in his own decision-making moving forward.

"I know what I want to accomplish," Howard said. "I've always written down my goals and everything I want, and I want to make sure I get 'em. Everything I've lost, everything that's gone away, I'm going to get it back."

Is his  business manager Kevin Samples the guy that was with him at Laker offices the day he signed with the Lakers? the same guy that sat with him at JB's memorial?

I believe this is a good indication of D12 resigning with the Lakers. I would assume, based on media speculation that his agent/relative wanted to make a move back East. So his influence is now negated.

Probably wanted him to go to Brooklyn before.

Maybe Dwight is concerned that ths guy is going to jerk him around too much this summer when all Dwight wants to s sign on the dotted line in El Segundo.
