Yeah that's probably true. There was still a huge opportunity cost though at the very least, I mean he was supposed to be their franchise player after all.
Great point on the opportunity cost. The Sixers not only lost the present and future productions of Iguodala, Harkless, and Vucevic, but also the production they would have gotten from their first round pick that they sent over. Definitely a HUGE loss on Philly's part because of the failed gamble. It's a lose-lose situation for them right now regarding Bynum's free agency.
