Get a better coaching staff for one, lol.
Yep. Any other move is pointless unless that happens.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Honestly the only move I'd like that I can see happening.
Letting go of Ebanks.
Bringing in Martell Webster.
Re-signing Clark.
After that even as constructed our lineup is dangerous.
Nash
Kobe
Clark
Metta
Howard
Blake
Meeks
Webster
Hill
Gasol
That's beautiful.
Pretty much the only moves we'd need to make as I think adding Webster to our lineup fills the void at bench 3 and we could actually have a 10 man lineup with him. And an awesome bench.

1) Resign Dwight
2) Resign Clark
3) Convince Jamison on "1 more year"
4) Trade Pau for anthletic SF or some good Role players or even a good PG
5) Trade/amensty MWP and Ebanks for peanuts and a little more
6) Fire MDA
7) Go win 2014 NBA championship
sounds about right.

Get a couple younger players for cheap, such as Chase Budinger and Anthony Morrow.

I think one of the most important things is to get a starting 3. We need either a defensive specialist OR a 3pt shooting specialist.
Metta isn't shooting accurate enough for defenses to really care and many of his shots end up as fast-breaks for the other team, which he isn't fast enough do anything about either. A shooter like Kyle Korver (.460 3pt%) would change the way other teams defend, since he cannot be left open and a better wing defender would be able to take a lot of pressure off Kobe. Clark is adequte as a wing defender against
the big 3s and Kobe can take on the smaller 3s, but we need someone who can take on the small quick guys.
The ideal guy would be a guy like Thabo Sefalosha or Nicholas Batum, but that's hardly realistic.
Igoudala would be perfect and could potentially be had in a deal involving Meeks and Pau.

I'd say getting rid of Metta and Pau are the main priorities. I'd say MDA too, but I think he's here for at least another year.
I just hope we can get something decent for Pau. Metta... probably amnestied. No one really wants to take on a headcase on the back end of his career with a bloated contract. But, maybe a team would be willing since he will be an expiring.

I dont think getting rid of Pau is that important, unless we can resign both Clark and Jamison or perhaps get back a good front-court player.

Danny Granger is a good target. He won't have a lot of value after not playing much this season. If he can come back to form, he's somebody who can help for years to come(turns 30 in April). If not, his contract expires after next season. I think it's a decent gamble to take. He's been injured all season, but he played in nearly every game for the 2 seasons before that.
I want the Lakers to get another starting PG. Steve Nash has had decent production with good efficiency, but his lack of defense really hurts the Lakers. I think it's time the Lakers get somebody to defend PGs.

Mike D'Antoni is GARBAGE.

1. Re-sign Dwight
2. Trade Pau + Duhon...either get a athletic 3 who can shoot or a stretch 4..or get into the lottery
3. Let MWP walk along with the dead weight at the end of the bench
I'm willing to give MDA a full training camp + season with players he can actually run his system with
Unless Phil is willing to bury the hatchet and comeback, of course

Trade Pau for Barea and Derrick Williams.
I would say hire Phil Jackson, but sadly I think that boat has sailed.

Yep and Blake too. All 3 could potentially be traded.
