Hearing MDA defend his refusal to play more than 7 guys .. I am convinced that he is an idiot
Seeing you think that Ebanks, Morris, Duhon or Sacre would have made a difference.. I am convinced you don't know our roster.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Yeah Maj is right they're exhausted. No excuse though. If we played just a little defense we still could have won the game. There was a caller last night who called into 710 on the postgame show who said the Lakers are better without Kobe. I was thinking about calling in tonight to rip him but I don't even think it's worth it lol. Go Knicks!

No .. they would not score big or anything .. but early on they could have given 4-5 mins in the first half that could have made a difference.
Worthy and Horry agrees - so does Nash - BTW.

I wake up here in europe, expecting a realatively easy victory over the suns. Crap. Hopefully, KY will beat the Jazz.
This must be the most flustrating season and team i've ever seen. I'm close to getting a depression over these [expletive]ers.

Exhausted?
That's the excuse?! Please, these guys are seasoned professional athletes in top physical firm. If any of them are exhausted, there is a serious problem.
well you're not in their situation so you may never know

It's okay. The Lakers knew the Jazz would lose tonight.
Still on 8th seed.

I know they shouldn't be exhausted.
Every team has the same schedule anomalies, exhaustion is an absolute b.s. excuse.
It's called a lack of focus, something they've struggled with from day one. And it's also something that should never happen to a winning team.

lakers were on a b2b on a freaking 7 man rotation. the team was very lethargic out there compared to the game vs sacramento. i'd say exhaustion did play a factor in the loss.

Nothing but a pitiful excuse.
You fight through that if you have the desire, ask Kobe.
Every team goes through this but the good ones always find a way to beat the inferior teams despite the supposed exhaustion.

^ Uhhmm no. They were tired and it played a big role. The shots just didn't fall. Ask Kobe? He's just the same. You can't say it shouldn't be an excuse. You have never been in the same situation.
It could have been prevented if went a bit deeper this game. Playing Morris and Sacre, for example. Hell even Ebanks.

It doesn't matter if it is a back to back, the Lakers should be able to beat a hapless team that is in a freefall like the Suns on any given night. If they truly are exhausted then going with a 7 man rotation is a nice way to exacerbate the problem, and an indictment of D'antoni's coaching ability or lack thereof. Lets be real, the Lakers are an old team, but so are the Spurs and many others, these are professional athletes who are in ridiculous condition, I mean, MWP is in the best shape of his life, allegedly. Every team plays back to back games, the Lakers haven't swept a back to back all season, and their road record will end up below .500 with near certainty at this point, those are not the hallmarks of a championship team. My position (hope I am wrong) is the same as it was a month into the season, the Lakers will make the Playoffs, doesn't matter what seed it is, and be blown out quickly and quietly by whomever they face, I just hope it isn't the Clippers because I don't want to hear it from my co-workers.
