He is putting up shawn marion numbers out there.. but cant blame him, our backcourt sucks right now. Plus we have a coach that my local highschool league coach could beat..

20/11 getting no foul calls and having the entire defense focused on him.

Not bad.

Hopefully this is the type of thing that would make Dwight want to come back to the Lakers and beat the Spurs down as a Laker.

These kind of losses can be very changing factors.

We have to come back stronger next year.  If Mitch has learned anything it's that we need to deepen our bench right now.  We got the top heavy starting lineup, time to get rid of the weak links on the bench.

We have a two-superstar starting five, but one that includes two defensive liabilities that aren't aggressive offensive players...and a fifth guy who is no longer a defensive stopper, yet an overly-aggressive spot-up shooter.

The team needs a makeover, starting with the so-called coach. Kobe may be a small forward for the rest of his career, so we should find a defensive specialist at the two, then a hybrid PF...all assuming we can't get rid of Nash's ass, unless he says something about wanting to play in Toronto (Canada) to end his career, which probably won't happen.

I have a feeling MWP could retire an that he knows he can't do it anymore. . That would help us tremendously.

Metta was already gonna do that after the year we got swept due to his injuries.

The only reason he didn't was because our medical staff was able to bring him back physically after the next half year.

He seemed just as sad apparently saying he was the "weak link" of the game today.  I'd say unless he can get 100% healthy over the summer, he may very well retire.  He already said he could opt out of his contract so that the team won't owe him 7 mill and he'd re-sign for less money(on a 2 year) most likely.

So unless Metta feels like he can be 100 percent again he may do just that.  If he doesn't feel like he's worth 7 million next year he'll opt out himself.  Not since Rick Fox has any player done something selfless as that money wise.  But above all Metta wants to help us, if he feels like he can't anymore, he isn't gonna take the money.

That's loyal, but sad at the same time.

As far as Dwight goes.   Use that picture to fuel you!!

To everybody who's saying Dwight got "worked" wth game were you watching?....
First of all Dwight got HAMMERED all night and the officials just sat back and enjoyed the show
Second,Tim Duncan just flat out had a great night offensively especially with his face up jumper that got him going early in the game and if anything gasol was "Worked" more so by him on D then dwight was all night. Even despite the fact that Howard was called for every little ticky tack foul possible on the other end which btw brings up the officiating in general for this game. It was ATROCIOUS. It was BAD. So much so it really made me question this league and its referees again. I mean constantly down on the block Duncan would foul Howard or Howard would just be fouled in general and it was completely disregarded lol now with this being said I am NOT blaming the refs for us losing by 30+ points because the officiating wasn't the reason why we ultimately lost. We gave up easy basket after easy basket in the paint and constant transition layups off turnovers on offense because guys were stagnant in spots and the ball wasnt removing(or as mike would say "finding energy" lol) and our lack of a perimeter threat/creator really showed or on defense with blown assignments/rotations that just killed us EVERYTIME we tried to gain momentum and go on a bit of a run to get back in the game.

Overall the lakers have just been overmatched this series and as far as Tim Duncan... Well he can go [expletive] himself. Can't even remember how many times I saw him get away with things throughout this game in particular and man was i screaming at the tv tonight....actually this whole series him and Howard have kinda been jawing and pushing at each other. So it doesnt suprise me dwight really took offense to him. IMO it was only a matter of time before someone got frustrated and took it up another notch.Anyways sorry if I'm a little out of sorts on my post, I don't usually post on here.. I'd rather sit back and look at all the interesting discussions and laker news lol but that's just MY two cents about tonight.

We lost because..

1-Two LA Defenders running point and 2.

2-We have a horrible coach that only knows one offensive system.

3-Pau is still soft.

4-This team just sucks.

5-We miss you Kobe!

6-No Depth.

7-Popovich is coaching the Spurs.

8-They are a better "Team"

Should have called us the Los Angeles D-Fenders light. It's fits because we have a D-league coach too.

^ the two LA-Defenders put up the best performances next to Dwight =p

The fact that the rest of the team got outplayed by the combination of Dwight, Morris and Goudelock is what should be looked at.
