In the 29 games he played, he averaged just 16 minutes. And that was when Jamison got a lot of DNP's. How awful is our staff with it's personnel? Meeks was having no playing time, Morris used to start at 2, Earl was the player George Karl chose to use FT's. It really annoys me.

Its called injuries and unfamiliarity.

Now that the team is gelling Hill probably would get some time as Jamison has a defined roll.

Hill probably wont get a boatload of minutes because of coming off injury and not being in full shape.

But I think he'd get some minutes.

Clark is a 3, Metta and Jamison are our 4s

If Gasol is still our bench 5 then Hill would get some bench 4 minutes while Jamison gets the 3 and vice versa.


The reason things were so clotted was this.

We had two guys better suited for 4 than 3 (metta and antawn) and we had a 4 better suited for a 5. Yet the only way the lineup works with everyone in a good position is if Gasol starts... But he can't because him and Howard don't work together for extended periods.


Thats part of the problem really.

So when and if Hill comes back, either Jamison or Metta is gonna have to move back to the 3.

At this point I'm not really a fan of messing with the rotation. A ten man rotation is just not going to work.

Why would Clark and Hill be on the bench? Where would Jamison be our starting 4?

I think starting Clark at the 3 and Metta at the 4 Dwight at the 5 and then the bench being Blake, Meeks, Jamison, Hill, Gasol is probably our best bet.

Unless we started Jamison at the 4 and moved Metta to the bench again. Then he'd be 3 on the bench with Hill at the 4.

But then again I'm glad to hear this. But if Gasol starts..it will muck up everything.

The way I'm seeing it is that MDA is willing to put Gasol back into the starting line-up.

That being the case, the Lakers would use Hill (5), Jamison (4), and Clark (3). Since Clark defends 3's at times and he's pretty versatile.

Would Gasol mess things up with the starting line-up? Maybe, but that's only if MDA doesn't draw up anything to get the best out of Gasol's skill set. Hell if I knew, though.

I think Gasol and Howard could do great together if Gasol went to post against other 4s when Dwight backs out and was willing to run the double post plays DKantoni draws up for him

Gasol has to decide it on his own. D'antoni can't force him. Heck not even Phil could force him.

Up to Gasol. DKantoni can only draw up plays. If Gasol goes out there and camps the 3 point line instead when they run a double post set its on him and he deserves to go back to the bench imo.

D'Antoni would never ever use a 10-man rotation, even if he had HOFs in their primes on the bench.

idk it was like a year ago i made a thread why jordan hill should get more playing time and most of them said josh is more reliable as a backup haha

This seems like a very unlikely thing to happen. He even tweeted it would be a miracle if he came back this season.

Jordan Hill Could Return In Late April, Early May

Jordan Hill could possibly return in late April or early May after two months rehabbing from a surgically repaired left hip.

"Even if he could come back, to get back in shape and make it in the rotation, that would be tough," coach Mike D'Antoni said. "That would be a miracle."

Hill has been off crutches for three weeks.

After having surgery Jan. 23 on his left hip, the Lakers expected Hill to stay sidelined for at least six months.
