Lakers D looked better because the Pacers are offensively inept, not due to Kobe sitting out. That's not an accurate analysis of cause-and-effect at all, let's not get that twisted here. As great as the Pacers are defensively, they are equally as terrible on the offensive end. That certainly helped our cause and made our defense look much better than it actually was. There were many breakdowns defensively, but the Pacers simply weren't able to capitalize be that finding the open man or finishing effectively near the basket.
Be happy with the win, it was a quality win on the road, but keep it all in perspective. The Pacers are only good enough to be a 6th seed out West, certainly not an upper echelon team.
