KEVIN DING @KevinDing3h
Some soreness for @paugasol today in his right foot and he's seeing foot specialist tomorrow. Could be routine; no reason to panic yet.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

I think running Meeks instead of MWP in a line-up with Gasol and Howard solves a lot of our spacing issues.
It still boggles my mind how some people a) believe Clarke is better than Gasol, and even more absurd, b) that Gasol isn't a starter in this league.

And the Lakers do it again without Kobe. Another great all around TEAM win. And people called me a pariah for saying that we will play better without Kobe who had been doing a bit too much hero ball the past couple games before injury... This is what happens when you allow a team to really play off of each other and nothing is dominated one way or another. Now come playoffs, Kobe will be our superstar. Playoff basketball is slow and requires a superstar to go far. But for now, I say let em play without ya kob!

Just a matter of how long the Lakers can keep up this play because there are times when Jamison, Meeks, Nash, and of course World Peace will have shooting slumps. And the Lakers do it again without Kobe. That makes it easier to defend Howard, but if the Lakers can manage this, I will gladly eat my words.

They said Gasol is coming back at Washington Wizard was that true?
I heard it against Sacramento Kings by the commentator.
"If I can do it tomorrow I won't do it today!"

The Lakers still have problems defending in transition, a problem that would get even worse whenever Pau is playing at PF. That was probably the biggest reason the Kings were somewhat in it most of the game.
Probably the biggest reason why the Lakers haven't missed a beat with Kobe gone is because players are actually knocking down open shots. Part of this is more confidence with the increased amount of shots that come with Kobe gone, but I doubt it will last. We've seen hot streaks with some of our players earlier this season, but they didn't last.

We need Pau .. He may not be a great defender and he'll be very rusty, but we simply need his size. He's another 7 footer cloging the lane and getting rebounds (the least we can say about him).
Every time Dwight goes out (which happens often because of his tendency to get in foul trouble) the other team losses all kind of respect for our frontcourt. The fast guards attack the basket and score with ease against Jamison and Clark. Don't get me started with the frontcourt players .. A perfect example of what I'm trying to say is the game in Indiana. When Dwight got in foul trouble and got benched you saw the Pacers' frontcourt players scoring at will and getting multiple offensive rebounds. Good thing they are not that great of an offensive team. My point is that we need Pau as a backup C especially when Dwight is in foul trouble which happens often and we'll have problems in the playoffs.

Gasol as a Back-up center is fine, starting Gasol at pf and then giving him some of Jamison min would hurt the team...

Look what happens when our team can't spread the floor. The last few games were fool's gold. They won't be this bad most nights, but they also won't be as good as they were against Indiana and Sacramento either on a consistent basis.

Ill take the chance that they'll be better more often than they will be in the 6th game in 9 days. 5th in 7 on a back to back
As Nash said, he expected the game to be very tough cause everyone was on their last legs after so many games. This game was the tank running on E which is why we now get till Friday before our next one.
If there was ever a night a no-show and tired legs would come up, it'd be this one. So I'm not worried in the least.
I AM happy that we tried to work it through Dwight and that of our 89 shots only 22 were threes. We were trying to attack inside and through Dwight... Unfortunately no one had energy. The only guy that had a good game fdnnily enough was Blake going 6-11...
Don't expect Blake to outshoot Nash and Dwight on most nights
Just was a combination of everything tonight, happens to the best and the worst of teams. Tonight was ours. No biggie.

Well, the Lakers were the 13th best 3pt shooting team entering tonight. The whole body of work says they're a mediocre shooting team.

Just didnt work out for us tonight sadly, and the three pointers Dwight did create for us were just short. Oh well. 4-2 in our last 6. Just gonna get some rest and bounce back Friday with a well rested Kobe Howard and Nash and potentially Gasol.

This is why im glad that with Kobe and Pau out that DKantoni was trying to attack inside and through Dwight instead of hoisting threes all night.
