If the refs call that foul and Kobe goes to the line for 2, he ties it we go to overtime and beat them again.

It was intentional.

Wow, you can clearly tell that Jones blatantly put his foot there.

I dont see  the patently dirty play.  Sorry.  I just dont.  Someone posted the Jones trip from 2009, clear enough that one was dirty.  Maybe Jones meant to hurt him tonght too, but he was pretty cagey about it if he did.  It may have been intentional, but he covered it pretty well, if it was.

He slid straight underneath him. He didn't even try to stop short of him.

I remember when Kobe went out last year, MWP had great games. PLEASE step up! this Laker team needs to wake up.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter20m
Kobe said he'll deal with this ankle sprain as he deals with all injuries, which is deliberately/constantly.

And Kobe is pissed

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter19m
Bryant said there's no reason a player should land on someone's foot on a fadeaway, but doesn't want to put it on the defender (D. Jones).

I'm upset that Kobe's injured, but on the other hand, I missed pissed Mamba. Whether Kobe comes back against Indiana or later, he'll be out for blood. Exactly what this team needs.

It's basically the same type of play that Bruce Bowen used to do. Just a dirty play.

There is no reason to close out THAT close to a guy where your foot would end up right where he lands. Especially on a fadeaway.

Moving on.

KEVIN DING @KevinDing5m
Kobe, referring to the foot he landed on in the 2000 NBA Finals vs. Indiana, said about Dahntay Jones: "He Jalen Rose'd me."

THE MAMBA WANTS REVENGE!!!
KEVIN DING @KevinDing20m
Kobe on worst sprain he's had since 2000 Finals: "I can't get my mind past the fact that I got to wait a year to get revenge."

And Kobe's already putting weight on it

KEVIN DING @KevinDing1h
Kobe has his left ankle taped up. Keeping it taped as he goes from X-ray to shower. Able to put weight on it.

All good news right now.

Kobe is gonna score 82 on the next team Jones goes to. Book it!

He left the arena without crutches too. Who knows how it will respond tomorrow though.

Um ... no.  Trying to be objective.  You should try it too.

Funny, lots of folks on this board claimed that Fareid "ran into" Metta's elbow a few games ago, when it was pretty obvioulsy a dirty play.  But when it happens the other way, it HAS to be a cheap play.

My cousin's a bit crazy yeah but he takes injuries seriously. We may not be close but I know his mentality and I got a feeling he'll play Friday if not the next game. It's up to the rest of the team.

I swear if I ever made it id do the same thing to Jones!!! But because im dealing with a knee injury myself im just gonna score 100 points on the Hawks in NBA2K13 with Kobe and the created me lol!

People throw out objective/subjective interchangably to try and make a point. I admit, I've done it a few times, but it isn't a good way to win an argument. I at first thought that because I was a Laker fan I could have initally over-reacted. But when you look at the tape, you can see him walk through intentionally. I don't have 20/20 eyesight, myself, but I'm pretty sure the empirical evidence supercedes your rational input right now.

He slid underneath Kobe. When he was trying to tie the game. It's so obvious when you really look at it. It was very sneaky dirty play, but a dirty play nonetheless. Plus he's done it to Kobe before, what more proof do you need?

Watch the way you talk to me.  Don't need your smart ass comments here on this board.

If you can't see that it was dirty, then that's fine. But it was. No doubt about it.  You'll be in the minority with this one.  It's the same type of play that Jalen Rose did years ago and its the same thing that Bowen did plenty of times over his career.

End of discussion.

It's the mung bean stew actually.  Delicious, but makes me very dizzy.  BTW, that Rodman guy was amazing when he was here.  We couldnt really understand him, even though he claimed to be speaking English.
