It's official. Kobe is starting...

Apparently "out indefinitely" for Kobe means missing practice.

Anyone feel this is a message to Dwight?

No.

remember when Kobe sprained his ankle in 2011 in the 1st rd then he goes and does this next game!

True, but don't forget how limited he was the rest of the way as we got swept by the Mavs in the 2nd round. Kobe was incapable of getting much lift on his jumper and he simply couldn't defend anyone as he kept playing on that ankle. We may not see the effects tonight, but if he keeps playing on it, it could rear its ugly head down the road. I'd prefer having a healthy Kobe Bryant for the playoffs than one weighed down by a nagging ankle injury the entire time. We'll see what happens.

Kobe knows his threshold for pain so only he can determine whether he can play through it or not. It doesnt surprise me wants to play as we all know he is the ultimate warrior (not the wrestler Jim Helwig lol :D). Personally I wouldnt have minded him at least sitting this game out, but we all know the competitor Kobe is. It may be to the detriment of the team in the long run but he knows the stakes.

Wow!

Everyone knows Kobe's the toughest guy in the league, but they're making a huge mistake that may potentially have an irreversible outcome

As Kobe was down after the shot, I got flashbacks from the Flashforward episode black dude reading Kobe's season ending injury in a newspaper. It was horrifying. Glad this is not that serious.

Kobe is crazy. I was hoping he would sit out for at least few games.

Anyone notice that Kobe hasn't been 100 percent both times we've played the Pacers?

Official update from LAL: @kobebryant is done for the game. He played the whole 1st Q, but can't go any more on the ankle.

Glad he didnt over do it. Give it some rest. If he could play for 1 quarter he should be fine soon.

I think us winning will help ease Kobe's mind about returning too soon.

Kobe did a Nick Fury tonight, went out there tonight on one leg and showed his heart and his team responded seeing their leader go as much as he could.

As Nick Fury said in the Avengers "they needed the push" .. They got it!
