Evil Dead 2 is one of my all time favorite films.
I was against the remake initially but this looks pretty awesome tbh. Also practical effects for the [expletive]ing win. From what i've read there was hardly any cgi used. ![]()
Hope this turns out good.

I think I (or someone else) made a thread about this movie months ago.
I did too. Searched for it beforehand, but to no avail. If someone else wants to or can find it, feel free to do so and we'll lock this one up.

The original trilogy are 3 of my favorite films and I was also against this remake big time. In fact I'm against remakes in general.
The main thing this has going for it is that they kept Raimi and Campbell on as producers and they consulted on it during all phases of production and gave it their stamp of approval. I'm curious to see what they pulled off.
The trailer is hairy as hell, that's for sure.

A friend of a friend is Tom Sullivan one of the FX guys from the original trilogy and he recently posted some gleaming words about the remake.
He absolutely loved it and this is from a guy devoted and directly tied to the originals. It's getting universally rave reviews right now!
Cannot wait to see what they've done with it.

Unfortunately the idiots come out at all times of day Windu.
Midnight shows are fun, I just want to be able to hear the movie and too many times people freak out at midnight shows so much that you can't hear any dialogue.

Best time to go would be a week or two after it's released, and during the day. I'm not a big fan of crowded theaters, at all...and the less people, the better, especially in the IMAX.
I used to try and see new movies the first couple of nights they are released, but I started to get really, really sick of people laughing on jump scares, or screaming random [expletive] during the movie.

The ability to watch video at home or anywhere has completely destroyed any kind of manners in the theatre nowadays. We simply tell people to be quiet, I have a friend that has thrown food at people talking on their cell phones. Bets thing to do is to speak up and let them know they wont get away with it.
But yeah for the most part people are downright buffoons in movie theatres any more. Sad, because I absolutely love the whole going to a movie experience and atmosphere.

never understood why the opening nights bring out the douches who go "oooooh", laugh really loud, or jump up and down
IMAX is the best though because the whole purpose of seeing movies early was to make sure you caught it on the big screen, but with IMAX its always a big screen.
that was more true early on when only big movies were IMAX. now its becoming every movie so it is going back to having to see it early or you miss IMAX

Decent... Nothing special.

"Love me or hate me it's one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, hate my swagger, hate my fade-away, my hunger, hate that i'm a veteran, A champion, hate that. Hate it with all your heart, and hate that i'm loved for the exact same reasons."
