 Soon the conversation moved onto the Lakers, another favorite topic of Barkley's this season.

"Listen, I don't think the Lakers are going to make the playoffs," Barkley said. "There are three legitimate teams in the West: Memphis, San Antonio and Oklahoma City, and the Lakers can't beat any of those three teams."

 Then came a detour through Brooklyn.

"The Nets are becoming like the New York Jets," said Barkley. "You all talk about the Jets all the time here like you all talk about the Lakers. The Jets stink and the Lakers are mediocre at best."

Speaking of the Lakers, next came a question about where Lakers center Dwight Howard would end up next season.

"You know, that's a great question," Barkley said. "I don't think anyone knows that. Dwight Howard is one of the more interesting guys that I've watched over the last few years in the NBA. I have never seen a guy who is such a terrific player and a really good guy make so many mistakes. You wonder who is around him. I've never seen a guy with more 'What-the-hell-is-he-thinking-moments.' It's crazy."

Talk of Howard soon moved to the relationship between Howard and Kobe Bryant.

"As I said before, I wish he would tell Kobe to shut the hell up and get off [his] back," Barkley said. "He has become a punching bag. He's a great player and a great kid, but I have never seen a guy do more bad will to his image in the last couple of years."

My responses back:

1)its possible we dont. I think we will. the remaining schedules for us and the jazz favor us but anything is possible. If we dont take care of business then we slide. Its so close right now anything is possible. But Barklys just doing his job and being a talking head.

2)hmmm, in a 7 game match up I could see memphis winning if they can control the tempo and win the glass. Remember the year the Warriors beat the Mavs in rd 1. That win wasnt about what team was better. It was about match ups and who executed better.

3)See #1. Same answer pretty much. D12 vs M Gasol will be fun to watch. Whoever wins that match up wins the series imo.

That has to be one of the most comical things he has ever said. After he said that Kobe reeled off multiple games of 30+ points in the playoffs, and Kenny and EJ confronted Chuck and he started to backpedal with his words. Mind you, that was almost 3 years ago and Kobe can still drop 30+ like it's nothing. Lol.

 

Chuck is basically on TNT for entertainment.

Playoffs is not guaranteed yet. We have to make a huge run, if for instance kobe gets injured, you automatically drop your chances by 60%. We still haven't found a rhythm yet.

 

 

Charles is annoying when it comes to the Lakers or LeBron and Miami. He loves LeBron that he think he has the chance of being better than Jordan. He has LeBron's back in everything, never heard him criticize the guy, same goes to a guy named Reggie Miller.

 

 

 

But in General, Charles does have some valid points, but i never doubt Kenny is WAY better than him.

That's what I believe, causing him to always dis the Lakers. Kobe's lapped Chuck several times when it comes to basketball accomplishments.
