^Sounds like an excuse to get Megan Fox into a cheerleader outfit just to make a profit. Her acting experience is weak. No way does she belong in the film that will have to exceed The Dark Knight. I'd love to see her in a tight leather costume as much as the next guy, but not at the expense of ruining a possibly great movie with her mediocre acting. When she actually shows she has some acting talent, let me know.

We've had nothing but uber poorly written/acted female leads in both Batman begins and The Dark Knight
Catwoman is a better character with more backstory (as opposed to a brand new Rachel Dawes), which is immediately a good start. So, Megan Fox can be "mediocre" and still be superior. Also, Catwoman should be hot anyway so that fits fine
