Best Movie of the Year by far and American Gangster came out in 2007, so how can it be the best movie of this year? While I loved Ledger's performance, I have to agree. I walked away from the movie somewhat disappointed. It was a great movie in my mind, but nothing more than a 9/10.
Best movie ever? Not even close for me.
Best movie of the year? Not for me, and I'm not a huge movie goer. I like American Gangster more personally.
Like you said though, still an awesome movie and I'm looking forward to the next one.
I hope they use Zsasz as a villain to some extent:
Ahhh. I'd like to see the Joker back, seriously I would, I doubt they would with the performance that Heath Ledger gave but to me the story isn't over with how the movie ended with that character. Nevertheless, I can only see one person playing him...

Thoughts?

To each his own.I'm somehow in the minority, but while I really liked it, I thought it was neither the best movie of the year nor the best comic movie ever and certainly not the best film ever. And Ledger didn't blow me away. So now that you all think I'm an imbecile, really liked it and I'm looking forward to the next flick in the series. Eckhart and Caine were just awesome.
Well I thought the movie was incredible. I'm not even a Batman fan. While I loved Ledger's performance, I have to agree. I walked away from the movie somewhat disappointed. It was a great movie in my mind, but nothing more than a 9/10.

And no, they won't use that guy... cuz I don't know who he is.

Most memorable quotes from Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin:
"What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!"
"Allow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For it's the chilling sound of your doom."
"Revenge is a dish best served cold"
"You're not sending ME to the COOLER!"
"Tonight, hell freezes over!"
And my personal favorite:
"Ice to see you!"

HaHa.. Those Batman movies were so corny, I'm glad these ones have a more serious tone. Mr. Freeze would not be a character these writers and director, Christopher Nolan, would use. He is using more realistic villains and a deeper view of Batman and the stories.

Let me talk about the Cinema one second, WOW! As you may know, Leicester Square Odeon is where the Premiere's in London are held. I managed to get tickets for the Royal Circle, where the actors sit, and it was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing, people gave it a standing ovation at the end and we all made alot of noise. The actual sound at the cinema sends quakes through your seats. The seats themselves were BANG in the centre, best seats in the house, and they were really comofortable. You could stretch your legs in them, and I have some LONG legs. The Royal Circle has it's own bar, food centre and sitting centre. It was amazing.
As for the movie, WOW WOW WOW! This movie is epic, one you have to see at least twice. I want to go and see it again in the next 2 weeks. The acting was superb, the directing was superb and the storyline was superb. Heath Ledger's performance of the Joker was unique, he nailed everything about the sadistic nature of the character. Everyone played their part amazingly. The story itself was actually a very clever and intelligent movie, this is why I want to see it again, it's alot to take in considering the 2 hours and 30 minutes move length. There are some excellent action scenes as well. It's an amazing movie.
All in all, I give it 10+/10.

its a rated R type movie held back, which i think is a travesty. Some scenes are overly ridiculous. Scattered stupid lines of dialogue
eh, definitely an overrated film
