the game is seriously fun...

The worst part is, that the map is so freaking small!!!

It should be called Simtown, or SimVillage...

You will max out your area within an hour, making late game additions very painful, my tiny town of 50,000 people makes so much sewage, and garbage, it is becoming a major problem... And, even though there is open land all around my city, i am trapped by these stupid lines into this tiny box

City size needs to be expanded BADLY

And, the game takes a hardlined socialist athoritiarian approch. Sims are banned from having private healthcare or private schooling... all education and health care are 100% government funded.... ( nice little social endoctorization ) which is stupid... Appartently the population is a bunch of followers uncapible of thinking...

Fun game though!

I wish the city was bigger, and you could have some effect on political policy

(only reason i bring up the socilalist authoritarian brainwashing in the game, is because Maxis made a big deal about the game not being politcal, i guess what they meant buy that, was not having opposing political views...  cause in this game, you are a socialist dictator or a small village, and nothing else!)

If you enjoy politics in a city building game, check out Tropico.

^ that's part of the compensation for the server conundrum we encountered.

It works out great for me.
I knew there would be problems on launch, so I didn't get the game day one, and once I have bought it, it has been fine for me.

Getting battlefield 3 a game I had wanted to play since its release was a huge bonus, and has restored a fair amount of faith in EA for me, possibly giving me faith to buy the next command and conquer game

Now I just need a CPU to play battlefield on

There are still fatal problems with this game.

It is impossible to play with others.

Okay, NEAR impossible, i have spent a GREAT deal of time loading more severs looking for one to join, and cannot find a room with an open spot on it...

It took 10 years to make this game, perhapes this explains why the online multiplayer interface, is worse then games i played online back in 1996!

It just loads results with no search filters! And 100% of the games it loads are full!

And, as anyone on the internet can tell you, playing with yourself is okay, but, it is always better to have someone else to play around with!

While Simcity is loads of funs, and addictive, it is a total mess, this should not have been released as is.

I am 100% serious, games from the mid-90s had better online multiplayer interface then this game has right now!!!!!!

There have been updates to the game since release, however, still no updates to fix the terrible search function...

Seriously, EA, go back to 1996 and find out how to host an online game...
