Most likely coming off the bench backing up Dwight. Enjoy Pau in the playoffs because win or lose this will be the last season Pau will be playing in a Lakers uniform.  I would like to thank Pau for the two championship run he gave us. Always a Pau fan and still believe he is a hall of fame player and the most skilled big man in the game.  No way in hell Pau will be back next year if D Antoni is coaching.

NO WAY IN HELL

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

It's been Pau's "last year as a Laker" for the last 2 seasons.

He should be our Sixth Man. He should be our go-to-guy in the post and feed him as much as possible because he is so effective when he is playing the 5. We all know that he is a terrible fit next to Howard because his jumper is average at best so let him come off the bench to play some nice 2-man game with Kobe Bryant as they were used to back in 2008-10.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Can he be our second-fiddle cheerleader next to Sacre?

If Pau comes back, he should be a back-up Center. I think if you can finish with him sometimes with Howard but one step at a time.

I do think he can fill in whenever Howard gets winded and the team needs to stress on him the same thing they stress on Howard. Go all out for the time you're in their and then you just rest when you're tired.

but back to the point at hand, Pau can also be used in 4th quarter post-ups, if he has the legs to do his thing down there.

Don't allow him entry into the arena.

Aww come on man, at least let him sit on the bench and watch. He & Sacre can cheer us to victory

I don't think the race to playoffs is going smoothly.

Nor do I think we will see Pao again this year.  Having had that exact injury, he's got another month of rehab, and a couple weeks of conditioning and practing.  By then, the season will be over.

That's a bold statement.  I personally disagree.

BTW, I'M BAAAAACCCCCKKKK!

Self 2 week Ban is over!!!

I think Pau will come off the bench but I'm looking forward to seeing him well rested and motivated to make a legit run at a title this year.

I seriously doubt Pau is out past end of March.

So Pau has been cleared to being running WOW that is huge. Hope he can return to us in about 2 to 3 weeks. Those home games in the beginning of April vs playoff teams are huge. We need him off the bench. Hope theres no drama on who gets to finish games and he knows the drill, he'll finish the games if hes playing well, thats just how it is.

Pau Gasol did some running today on the Alter G treadmill and had no problems, word is. We'll see how he feels tomorrow.

Wish more athletes used SWIMMING to regain conditioning/stamina...it's one of the most efficient ways to do so...and one that is friendly to "aging" bodies.

Pau coming back this late in the season probably means he sees much more time at 5 than 4...probably a good thing.

Pau coming back is vital!

Since Pau's injury, Dwight have played around 36mpg, which means that either Jameson, Clark or Sacre have been on the court as our center for 12mpg. This is not good! Clark is most effective as a 3, Jamison as a 4 and Sacre as an energy guy on the bench.

The only question is whether there is enough games left for Howard and Gasol to learn how to be on the floor at the same time.

I am a huge Pau supporter and I think that he needs to be the back up 5. Cut Dwight's minutes by maybe 5 minutes a game? Give that to Pau.

Pringle do offense-defense substitution when the game requires it.

We always need to have 2 of our top 4 scorers in the game at all times.

Pulling Kobe, Howard, Nash, and Pau out at once is a bad idea.

The Lakers FO knows more than you. Sorry.

I think Paus a great player. HOF some day. But this team has went in different directions. I hope when he does come back it doesnt mess up the chemistry KB/D12/Nash/Metta got going on.
This team is moving, and Pau isnt the greatest mover anymore. He slows things down. If he comes off the bench though I dont see how that could be a negative thing.

If he's in shape enough he should spell DHoward, keep the rest and limit Mettas time to defense as he has gotten more shot happy from 3, and they aren't dropping. Good d though.

We do not need Pau. We are winning without him. We do need Jordan Hill though. That way, we can slide him in the starting 4 and let Clark serve as the 3. By this, MWP is out of the starting line-up.

We do need Pau right now, as a bench 5 otherwise we'd have to depend on Clark and Jamison at that position which is why he got burnt out lately he had to play big minutes at 3 positions since Pau was out.

Pau eases things at the bench 5 and adds scoring to our bench which can only help.

And we'll need that to happen if we're gonna beat the 1-4 seeds in the West.

Yes, we need him coming off the bench. He should however not start. I think our starters are finally "gelling." Metta needs to remain consistent though. He is getting so many wide open looks. He needs to make them. We are lucky Chicago is not that  great of a shooting team.

Pau has become useless playing the PF...leave him as the back up C and the focus of the 2nd unit..if he continues to pout and moan about it, sit him down and wait to ship him out this summer
