[from RealGM.com] The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a buyout with Aaron Brooks.Brooks will be eligible for the playoffs.

“I’d like to thank the great city of Sacramento, the Sacramento Kings Organization, coaching staff and most of all the fans that supported this leg of my journey,” Brooks said in a pair of tweets. “I enjoyed my time with the Kings and wish them success in the future.”

This is a speedy guard who can also hit the three consistently. We all witnessed how he abused Fisher and our backcourt in the 2009 Western Conference semifinals. He's a very good PG, much better than Blake. Do it Mitch!

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Not going to happen. It would be nice, but we have Blake, Duhon, Morris

We need to get rid of at least two

Thought about this as well. But I'm fine with Blake, even though, a few months ago we, we all said he was a scrub

Why's everyone so high on Blake all of a sudden? Brooks would be ideal backing up Nash.

well, maybe because everyone got accustomed to watching scrubs play when he was still recovering.

And since he came back, and the huge talent gap between him and Duhon/Morris became apparent, we all forgot that he's a scrub as well

He's been pretty decent since he came back, though. Expected him to play terribly just like when he came back after recovering last year...and the year before that as well

ok, but he's not even a good pointguard for that matter.

We need a SF. We literally have none right now. Artest is a PF playing SF at this point. It'd be nice to have a real 3 to take some minutes from artest

Blake is doing just fine, not sure why he gets so much hate since his return.

I like Brooks and would love for the Lakers to sign him, but that's not happening with our current pg #'s

After a buyout with the Sacramento Kings, guard Aaron Brooks and the Houston Rockets are discussing a deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Rockets getting at him, damn. seems like they're interetsed in every player also.

Difference is that brooks can do everything blake can do but better and he drives and attacks the paint AND he can create his own shot.

8 points per game off the bench on 46% shooting from the field overall, including a blistering 38% from 3PT range.

Not bad. 5 years younger than Steve Blake at 28 too and 11 years younger than Nash.

and he drives and attacks the paint AND he can create his own shot.

These are the two most important things that he definitely does better than Steve Blake, especially creating his own shot. That is always a bonus to have from any player and we know damn well, we've always been one of the teams most lacking in that area.

Utah could have used him as well.
